It's in the interests of the agents to put out a figure a lot higher than what's being paid in reality for various reasons. I don't think the clubs themselves will ever disclose it.

It's not really relatively low though. Sanchez is worth what, £70m odd in the current market? If we paid him 275k over 5 years that's £72m over the course of his contract. It marries up quite nicely, he's not exactly being done over. They won't run down their deals for the same reason they haven't all this time, security. They might start running it down for different reasons, i.e. because cash rich clubs will now be much more reluctant to sell their best players.
