Everyone's happy. I wonder when he moves to the number 10, and if you can get a refund if you bought an Ozil 11 in the last week
Interesting that our numbers 1 and 10 are on loan

Sanchez and Ozil to ask for a 250k a week contract.
Do they have the same agent representing them? Why is this a tag team news?
Sanchez is indispensable, Ozil isn't.
They're both indispensable.
More to the point, there's nothing to suggest that there's a choice for the club to make between the two.
Agreed.
There is no serious replacement in the squad.
Give them whatever they want. We have enough money to afford their demands.
Then how would we pay the staff?
Creative job allocation can cut down the wage bill.
Replace the guy in the Gunnersaurus outfit with Mertesacker, Jenkinson can do pitch maintenance (cutting grass, etc) and making tea, Debuchy can paint the pitch and do general repairs, Welbeck can drive the bus and do security with Sanogo as well as stewarding and roof/ceiling repairs.

Because it is a bs article.
If they want 250ishbthey should get it. Fair market value for both.
Of course we will extend them.

If you're talking about the number 10 role, then I think Ramsey if he gets his head screwed on and Iwobi in a year or two can seriously deliver.
Sometimes contract negotiations can go either way and this club might have to make a decision on the demands it can accommodate. Parties enter into contracts to make money and that's the bottom line.
They will both sign like 2-3 year extensions and Wenger will sign on for at least another 2. This way their contractual situation can be reviewed just in time Wengers time is possibly up. Dont even sweat it, guys. They both know they have nowhere better to go in this moment of time.

Ramsey needs more than his head screwed on (and Iwobi more than a year or two) to develop as much skill, touch, pace, vision, grace and crossing ability as Ozil.
They're both replaceable in the ultimate sense, but that doesn't mean we should be resigned to losing them. We could deal with losing one assuming we bought well to compensate but losing both would cripple morale in addition to our actual quality

Ultimate sense being that we're able to buy another CAM or another LW, yes. Quality wise, no. Dont think there are higher quality players available for us than them.

It's those kind of internal solutions that led to the Youth Policy of 2008-2012. I agree that Ramsey could be a suitable replacement and, who knows, maybe Iwobi might be as well. But their a long way from that stage at the moment and, while Ozil has been underwhelming this season, the contrast with him in the team and without him is vast.
with no ozil, the #10 should be removed from our formation. there are only substandard internal replacements.
To be fair if someone doesn't rate Ozil, substandard internal replacements would seem better.
Michael Owen, for example, thinks Welbeck is better than Ozil.
