Let alone that I don't think we've actually seen him at his best as in his Chile Copa form these last 2 post seasons, but that I expect to do so IF we retain the 3421 and play Sanchez behind a CF with the mobility and work rate of Welbeck, but who is also a bona fide goal threat - Lucas?

I don't think Lucas has the pace and work rate of Welbz. Aubameyang is the man. Be a big club and break the bank for him.

Agreed - was thinking in terms of our current options as someone who would be a step up from Giroud in terms of mobility and a step up from Welbeck in terms of goal threat and yet still able to link and create space.
We made an offer for Aubameyang last season in the Jan window apparently, & would like to think that we'd still at least make the offer.

Aubameyang definitely has his faults, but in this system I'd imagine he'd be a good fit.

Beauty of it being that he wouldn't need to adapt to the system as he's already used to it and his role as CF.

Not a huge fan of Auba but I'd definitely take him. Mbappe and Morata higher on the list for me though.

Not sure how realistic any of those guys are but there's not many teams in Europe that need new strikers, Madrid and PSG maybe? United look like they have theirs virtually signed up so if we're prepared to spend you'd have to think we could get one.

Yeah the Mbappé train has left the station, the time to get him was last June when Wenger was at his mum's house. If he couldn't convince him then he won't be able to convince him now that he's exploded into the limelight.

He picked Monaco over arsenal last season because he wanted to develop through getting games. He might think 2-3 years at arsenal then move to real.

Its a small chance but you never know.

That's one forward down. To an irrelevant team. I doubt we ever get a striker. Chelsea could also want one if their brute leaves. Madrid might want to replace Morata. Atletico will replace Griezmann as he goes to United.

I would put in massive bids for both Aubameyang (60m) and Mbappe (100m) and hope one of them bites. But our players also need to put on the Barcelona DNA charm offensive. Henry needs to visit Mbappe. Ozil needs to visit Aubameyang
