Griezmann leaving Atlético and Lacazette replacing him there both seem pretty much done (Griezmann and Aulas confirming the talks/offers) but they're dependent on the CAS ruling on Atlético's transfer ban. Even then there's always a good chance of United fucking the transfer up

Telegraph and Mirror both reporting we've offered both huge new deals at around 260-280k per week which sounds a lot more realistic than the Bild nonsense.

I think the club is barking up the wrong tree trying to play the money angle.
I'd rather they put the 30m towards buying a CF,
or play Sanchez as CF and buy someone like James / Martial / Isco to replace him alongside Ozil.

Well, we can't stop City from speaking to anyone - short of reporting them for tapping up. And their DoF is ex-Barca (Txiki Beguiristan I think), so no shortage of dirty tactics I am sure. Doubt we would acquiesce.

We didn't buy Sol Campbell from Spurs though, an out of contract Sol Campbell signed for us. Completely different situation.

I wouldn't be entirely shocked to see us sell to a domestic rival, especially City. We've been doing it for years.

It's the usual M.O.
and AW has confirmed he won't be changing anything he does because he/it is what it is.

He's said take it or leave it & laid out his terms,
and at the same time made the decision based upon him and the FA Cup win,
after earlier saying that his 20 year career should not be judged on 1 game alone.

We haven't done it for years though, RvP was exactly 5 years ago before the insane boost in TV money and a massive increase in commercial income. In fact we haven't actually lost anyone noteworthy in that time to anyone, home or abroad. I can't believe though, especially after the last few months, that they could possibly be stupid enough to do something like that on a PR basis alone.
