None of that is really an argument Tactics, team mates will always hype their colleagues to the heavens.

We'll just have to agree to disagree here

True but I think this is slightly different. He wasn't responding to a direct question like 'what do you think of teammate x or y', he was trying to come up with an explanation as to why they weren't playing as well as they did in the previous season, he could have easily answered the question without mentioning Pogba. For me the fact that he did means that was what he genuinely thought

Anyway, you are right, let's agree to disagree.

Can't call Mbappe world class yet, while his weekly competition is in Ligue 1.

Wow that last bit really sticks the knife in. I can imagine Ozil using the same argument when he trots off for free in the summer.

He can fuck right off with that comment, van Persie esque attempt to manipulate fans.

Heโ€™s gonna flop guys. The stick heโ€™ll get will be lovely to watch

The guy agreed to join City and would be there were it not for Monaco rejecting our bid for Lemar yet the sex creep is rolling out lines about wanting to play at the swamp and for Jose

Henry and him can never be compared. Henry won titles with us and loved the club, putting himself in the same sentence as Thierry is a big insult.

I don't think Henry would stay here either under the current regime at the club, and neither should he. If you stay or join the current Arsenal you have to ask serious questions about the player.

If Utd paid the money Wenger wouldn't hesitate to sell for a second.

He did join the current Arsenal.

He did join the current Arsenal.

He didn't. None of us thought we'd be in this situation when we signed him in 2014 did we

I agree with Quincy, fuck him for going to United. But at the same time he's not RVP, he was a great player for us but nothing more, there's no alleged loyalty pledges or captain fantastic horseshit with him and he does have some point. The blame should lie with the club first and foremost

And Ramsey next season I guess. Will they be coming for him too?

It's a sad day.

Alexis will tear it up for them.

Maybe not, but there wasn't huge optimism here either. He joined perennial 4th placed losers and he left a team in a similar position.

Agree, on your latter point, I don't really hate him, but he can still get stuffed.

I'm appalled at how we've normalised selling our best players to those cunts. Not to mention they are being managed by a horrible human being, utter disgrace of a man, who has time and again disrepected our club and manager, constantly making distasteful comments towards Wenger. I'd never ever sell even one of our duds to him. That momentary joy/happinnes/satisfaction, however shortlived it is, is something that I'm unwilling to grant that cunt. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind we'd sell Ozil to them if they came in with what we'd regard as a 'good' bid.

We are handing them a fresh Sanchez,  fully rested. Why didn't we run the little fucker into the ground when we knew fully well we'll be selling him to one of the big clubs in the league ? Why did we rest the fucker in our must win FA cup tie? ?????!!!!

Bravo Arsenal!

Absolutely.

Seeing my favourite Arsenal player go to probably the club I dislike most, while we get their reject.

Things may work out in our favour depending on how both players perform, but I wouldn't bet on Mkhitaryan being nearly as influential as Alexis once was for us.

He's going to kill it for them, at least for 18 months

Probably in decline now, but even in decline he will still do well for them. Not happy he has gone united at all, but I am over the moon that he is no longer at Arsenal.

I can just about deal with Sanchez going to United, but if Ozil joins him in 6 months...

I have nothing against Sanchez, he served us well. We have been let down by the club custodians though. I wish he had avoided the nonsense about Henry in his farewell message.

Will be interesting to see how much love he gets from his ex team mates on social media. Coquelin and Walcott had a message from just about everyone.

May mean nothing but still.

Yep, good riddance. It's amazing how much more coherent we play when we don't give away 15-20 counters in every game.

Christ Alexis looks old. The skin on his face is terrible for a man of that age

Someone check his birth certificate

Gave us wonderful service. Scored vital goals in big games (goals in 2 FA Cup semis and 2 FA Cup finals spring to mind). One of the most productive players we've probably ever had. Incredible work rate and application. Gave his all for the shirt. Let down by the board and Wenger. Top top player and will be missed.

Hope he flops at ManU but don't have anything against him.

He was our best player over his time here and I don't begrudge him leaving but he's gone to United so I have no time for him any more. Still fuck Wenger for putting us in this position and fuck Kroenke for giving Wenger another contract.

That's pretty much how I feel too

Losing Ozil will hurt more than Sanchez. We must do everything in our power to keep him.

+1.

Letโ€™s bring in 1-2 more decent players this window and convince Ozil we have some ambition. Basically, do what we shouldโ€™ve done in windows before to build on Sanchez and Ozil. Last summer our hapless lot wasted time running around in Monaco after a dream.
This winter, things feel different. Weโ€™ve closed two deals before the 22nd and over and above Sanchez shifted players weโ€™ve always wanted gone like Walcott and Coquelin. By the time next season starts, we wonโ€™t recognize this crew. Scrubs beware

you werent joking, looks 10 years older!

Starting to feel different now, seems like power is truly shifting away from Wenger. Even kicker have a leading article about how the club has started building for life after Wenger

Also liking the sounds of Mislintat having started working for us before even signing a contract. Here's hoping him and Simeone will get along

How to fix your jerseys

From the presser there's a clear suggestion that the club had agreed to a deal with Alexis at some point, and that he got his head turned. Arsene didn't deny it either, and having seen how he acts in pressers, it was as clear a confirmation as you get from him

on whether Alexis had agreed a deal to stay at Arsenal at some pointโ€ฆ
Look, I donโ€™t want to come back on the history of his negotiations, but maybe one day. Alexis is a great guy and has always been committed, did the negotiations go well or not well? It has never affected him and I would just like to remind you I took him to the hotel on the night before the Crystal Palace game and he was completely focused and ready to play the next day until I told him, look you can go home, the deal is over the line. So, thatโ€™s what he did. No matter how the negotiations went he was always focused on football.

on whether his smile means a deal was agreed at some pointโ€ฆ
You can interpret my smile, you know me well enough for years, so I leave you free to do that.

He pretty much did the same with City so it's no surprise.

I think we need to take a tough stance going forward and stop these agents from dicking us around. It may mean we will lose some players we may have been able to convince if we remain patient but at least we'll be able to plan for it.

If Ramsey doesn't sign a deal by the summer he should be sold immediately.

Has anyone ever extended whilst running their contract down to the last couple of months? I can't think of one player. For that reason I think Ozil will leave.
