Sanchez likely won't suddenly transform into a different player, let alone a different person. He gets in involved, he won't just hang around up near Lukaku all game. He drops deep, he attracts opposition players, he works hard, he loses possession, he makes and scores goals. If he loses the last bit, the rest isn't all that useful other than the hard work bit, which I can actually see Mourinho being more interested in than his goal involvement.
Maybe it's just us, Wenger, the whole situation, but I think he's lost his edge a bit. Might just be wishful thinking.
