Pretty sure he and his extended family are already set. Of course money is a factor, it's why he's taken it and he has every right to. But the idea that the decision is a given and anyone in his position would have taken is simply wrong.
If he genuinely has philanthropic motivations then good for him, but you hear that line every time any footballer chooses money over all and I don't buy it. I don't get why football fans these days go out of their way to justify multi-millionaires choosing money over sporting ambitions.
