Yeah, no way are they getting into the top 3 with that squad. I agree that Montella is a good manager though. I thought it was weird how many people were dead against that appointment. He's at least a full tier above the kind of trash Milan have hired in the last few years.
Serie A 16/17
Milan's problems aren't down only to the manager, Mihajlovic seemed like a decent pick, Seedorf had them playing good football too during what limited time they gave him. Inzaghi was probably the worst manager I've ever seen, Sunderland under Moyes are more fun to watch than the horseshit he served every week.
Agree though that Montella is better than all of them
Inter are about to sack De Boer! What a mess, they probably will replace him with Pioli.
Reckon Inter are going to burn through a couple more managers before Simeone comes to save them.

I think we have a good chance of getting Simeone (when his contract is over), Inter would have to literally offer him insane wages to get him in their current state. I'm sure they would probably turn to Mourinho if he fails at Man Utd (and he'd probably fail at Inter since it's the worst team he's ever had).
Reckon Di Francesco would be an astute choice for Inter, he deserves a shot at a bigger club and bigger resources.
Di Francesco is a good shout, but I think he has too much sense to jump onto a project like Inter in their current state. It'll take a lot more than a new manager to sort them out. He's already got an average team with few expectations, and he exceeds all of them. There seems to be very little benefit in taking over another average team that comes with massive expectations at the same time.
Inter do look in terrible shape - lost to Southampton now in the EL.
From what i read, they were lucky to have beaten Southampton at the San Siro.
How the mighty have fallen but weren't AC in a far worse predicament a few years back?

Yeah, they've had really bad issues with ownership and management (Initial sale of the team collapsed, Maldini turned down the offer to become their director etc.). I think Berlusconi is still trying to finalize the sale of Milan. Hiring a good manager in Montella and playing the youth has been the reason why they're doing much better than previous years.
As for Inter, they got the money, but the management has been awful (apparently, De Boer didn't want Gabigol and they still bought him). There's been news about the Chinese owners being distant from the club and disagreeing with Zanetti and their director favoring Pioli. The advisor for the Chinese is Kia Joorabchian, who even made a presentation to hire Marcelino as the next manager (and the Chinese want Marcelino)! I think they hired De Boer because Kia was his agent.
Looks like Inter is hiring Marcelino. They should give their managers more time to build their style of football, not keep average and overpaid players, and actually play their youth. He should get more time since he was the owner's pick.

18 - #Belotti has now scored 18 goals in Serie A since the start of 2016, less only than Gonzalo Higuain (27). Song. #TorinoCagliari"
He's a really interesting player.

Looks like they went with Pioli. Wonder how long he'll last

Meelan derby tonight. Trust you've nestled into your fave arm chair Klaus
at least he cut his hair!
I missed the game unfortunately, but wasn't surprised to hear that Suso scored again. Liverpool screwed up so badly there. I can't believe they let him run his contract down.
Suso has days like Sunday where he looks like a world beater in the making and then puts in non-performances for which he's lucky to be paid for, he makes Ox look like Sagna consistency wise.
Was a good derby, Inter deserved a point. Still don't think Pioli will survive there for long, nobody will as long as Simeone's shadow is over that club
His hattrick last season was amazing. Probably the best hattrick since Bergkamp.
Suso's hattrick was top class but not a patch on Rivaldo vs Valencia. Not even Bergkamp vs Leicester was as good as that one imo
That one's my favourite too. Rivaldo's final goal might be the best I've ever seen. Not just for the sheer skill and audacity but also how much it meant. It completed the hattrick, won the match, put Barca in Champions League, and it was in the final minute of the last game. I've only seen 3-4 other players reach the level he was at back then. Bloke was fucking unreal.
Last minute of the game too and it was against Valencia who they put out of the CL in the process, the latter had a similar season to us in 02/03 in that they were a lot better than their final position in the table, they won the league the season after too.
It's probably the goal I most vividly remember from my youth, that sequence of him chesting the ball up high before jumping for the overhead kick is as iconic as it gets
Savz is googling Rivaldo right now

I love the fact that the Italians are so tactically adventurous.
aaand that's about the only thing I like with em.
Napoli are 3-0 up against Inter in the 70th minute. Brilliant game from Piotr Zielinski. He basically killed the match within the first 6 minutes, first by scoring a half-volley and then assisting Hamsik with a brilliant pass to 2-0.
Insigne's 3-0 was pretty good too:
Luckily his move to Liverpool failed.
I didn't know they were after him. The guy looks like a player in the making.
Good to see Strootman on the scoresheet for Roma, bloke would've been one of Europe's best CMs by now if it wasn't for the injuries
Marchetti is incredibly shit, joke keeping for the second. Also Wallace' defending for Roma's first Very rare to see someone do something this retarded in a professional football match, in a big derby too
Super finish from Higuain.
Sneezey had a pretty great save too. Two minutes of extra time left, and it looks as if Juve will hold on.
Was a great game.
Naingolan is one hell of a player. De Rossi is well past it, and Szczesny was good (still can't kick though).
Nainggolan is so underrated. He'd boss the crap out of any Premier League midfield.
He'll end up at Chelsea
Think he rejected them couple of times already.
Mertens with another hat trick after getting one last week. Looks like a 14 year old but he's actually turning 30 in a couple months, really would've liked him on our wing if it wasn't for his age. 13 goals and 7 assists from the wing and he's not even a nailed on starter
His 4th goal, my word.

insane!
Lol. Joe Hart.
Quality goal.
Insigne with an insane strike against Fiorentina:
Another angle:
I liked this goal more than Insigne's. More difficult to execute.
In that same match, this is some passage of play.
Pjanic is a wonderful player
