I can’t really enjoy today properly after those injuries. Luckily it’s the international break soon but you want your best team at Anfield.

The biggest obstacle against us winning major honours this season is minimising injury.

Burnwinter Last season with the international tournament you could argue overload but this season there is no excuse. I don’t know how Ødegaard got injured if it was an impact injury as that can’t be put down to training but Saka hamstring is a massive worry after being completely rested up this summer.

They play so much nowadays that they're bound to get injured more. Maybe we failed to protect them a little by not having good enough squad depth last season, but we're not the only ones with players missing. I was looking at Spurs injury list at the bottom of the livescore window in their match against City, and it was longer than their teamsheet. Five ACL injuries among them!

JazzG Landed on his shoulder. I broke my upper arm and dislocated my shoulder once just by falling from an almost standstill position. Your body weight falls on the bones and joints and it hurts.

It's true we've been suffering worse with injuries since we had to start taking Europe seriously again, but we've got 5 subs these days. We need to be proactively rotating and resting players.

Fingers crossed it's half paranoia affecting Saka after his struggles last season. The look on his face coming off the pitch wasn't good.

Gurgen basically you body taking on loads where they're not supposed to.

With Saka it's always a worry when you have an injury requiring surgery like he did to see how will he come back and what impact is any it might of had. Not that this is directly because of that but really hoping he can shake these cluster of injuries and it doesn't become a recurring problem.

Guys that Saka injury took 50 percent of the joy away from yesterday.

But as I woke up this morning I’m like fuck it. Thankfully we have a big enough squad to absorb injuries and look at our opponents - they have players getting injured right, left and centre (Ait Nouri, Palmer).

It is what it is, whoever manages best will survive. Either that or we’re fucking cursed but I told you guys, if we buy Eze we will win the league and I still stand by that.

Did I just read on BBC Sport that neither Saka or Odegaard's injuries are as bad as expected, and neither would face significant time out?

Ode 's is an AC joint injury. You can tell by how he fell and reacted. We used to use this dodgy medical doctor that would inject sugar into injures like this to stiffen them up so they can return to play quicker. Not sure if we still use him we've had a lot of changes in the medical and fitness staff. It could be 15% of one ligament or 100% of 4 ligaments around the joint. Even bad ones are back in 8 weeks. He's happy to play injured so I imagine he'll be back in 3-6 weeks depending how much they risk playing him injured.

Saka isn't a full rupture so no surgery. But they won't say it could be 5% or it could be 50% tear. All we know is it's not a complete tear. 4-6 weeks probably.

Obvs I've not seen the scans so that's just a blind guess based on averages.

Would be great to have him as an option this season, hope he gets back to his best but he's had some real nasty injuries.
