Fuck. Especially sucks since every pairing without him seems to be too slow.

Ridiculous. Still haven't gotten a chance to a see a clip but thats our only class central midfielder gone. Feel for him.

Mike Dean said no foul.

Jenas called it a good tackle.

Fucking Arseblogger and Gunnerblog said it was fine too. They sounded like Stoke fans "wasn't intentional", "full blooded tackle rather than a dirty tackle", etc

He went in with too much force and not enough control, thats a reckless tackle and its a red card.

Scissor tackles should just be outlawed. The potential for damage is so much greater than when you tackle someone from behind.

In Arteta’s presser he mentioned that Torreria told him he felt ‘positive’ this morning. Has to see a specialist about it tomorrow but it could be better news than we imagined?

Nope it's broken 2-3 months potentially a lot more if it was worse but from how theyre describing it i'd guess 2-3 months at least.

English refs should be outlawed. Send Mike Dean and the rat pack to internment camps for crimes against football and football players

Unexpected but amazing news about Torreira today: no ligament damage.

Thats great news, hope to see him back soon.

Probably still 2 months. The smaller bone on the outside of the shin is broken. The ligaments at the end of that bone are still intact so he doesn't need pins and screws to hold it in place or a ligament reconstruction.

4 months later

Leno out for up to a year. I'm done with this shit. Football is not worth it. Waste of time.

Can't believe they resumed the fucking league after three months without any real warm-up. Irresponsible.

This shit makes you want to cry. Our MVP gone for a year. It’s like God is telling us we don’t deserve nice things.

It's not god, it's just a bunch of greedy pricks in Premier League, and Arsenal are among them. We helped facilitate this because we didn't want to lose out on a chunk of tv money, and now our players break to the left and right and we'll need a hundred million investment just to replace them. That's before we can start thinking about rebuilding and adding.

So if that turns out to be an ACL, added to Holding and Chambers that's 3 in the same team within the space of about 12 months which surely can't be normal. I appreciate this one came as a result of a reckless foul and after a long break, but we seem to suffer so many long term muscle and ligament injuries compared to other teams. Is there something that makes our players more susceptible to this type of injury? Something wrong with training methods, or conditioning? Are players worked too hard in training so they are knackered by the time they get to the game? Or like we do with much of the playing squad are our physio and medical staff inadequate because we won't pay for the best ones? Do we just seem to sign brittle players whose bodies are not up to the physical demands of the modern game? Or is it simply bad luck?

Would be interested in Speedy's take.

I also need to vent about the referee. I don’t care what the law book says but that challenge was unacceptable. It’s pure physics. A goalie in the air with his arms up is vulnerable. He doesn’t have the same balance as a player springing with his arms at his sides. No caution.
And no caution for Bissouma who spent the afternoon upending our players like a Spanish bull. At least six meaty challenges. Not a word. Referees need to be sent to the Championship for games like this

I just pray that we don’t lose Aubameyang or Saka now.

Wasn't there a suggestion at one point amongst all the talk re VAR of having the refs face the press after a game so as to be asked to explain some of their decisions?
