^ Got a little Tommy Vermalean to him -- enjoyed what I saw of him in those clips.
Like a defender who doesn't mind being tight to his mark and using his body to position himself well.

Cant go wrong with Coq Holding down the middle.. Welcome
Now sign proper players you clowns
Ivansen wrote:Youtube caveats and all, but I enjoyed that. Looks very comfortable on the ball, and quite quick too.
Looking through the Bolton forums, they describe him as a John Stones who can actually defend. Loves to dribble with the ball and has good passing range.
Difficult one to get excited about and haven't bothered with any of the videos but welcome. Hopefully better than Gabriel.

thats the lowest of low bars
Looks good, mobile, skilled, intelligent from that tweet of his best moments ever in all history floating around, even though it doesn't show a hell of a lot of um, defending.
Hope his cherubic appearance belies his defensive ability.
Looks like another Calum Chambers who is talented but limited. Can't imagine this kid being better than 7/10.
Welcome Rob!
You've joined our club at a very exciting and dynamic time in our history, we will be challenging the greatest teams in the world for trophies on four fronts, from the Champions league champions Real Madrid to the Premier league champions err Leicester City.
Doesn't look much like Chambers to me—just sayin'. Chambers can't do all that on the ball at pace.
Be interested to see what Holding's like in the air at set pieces.

I watched it on and off a few seasons ago when Viasat showed most of the games, and the main thing that stood out is that the tempo is a lot slower. There were very few ugly tackles as a consequence since defenders didn't get caught as much, and duels were generally less physical. It was pretty fascinating.
I think the secret footballer mentioned this too in regards to speed. It is quite interesting.
He plays the hol-ding role
Scores the occa-sional goal!
This is the sort of signing I expect Wenger to stick to. Unknown guy who could step up but isn't quoted £10m+ without evidence of that value.

A report based on a discussion with a Bolton fan.

Chambers is very good on the ball IMO.
Watched the video, as usual it doesn't really tell me anything about him as a player. YT compilations are even worse for defenders than they are for strikers.
Chambers is no slouch, but I don't reckon you could string together a Chambers highlights video like that.
Yeah this guy is better on the ball no doubt
Kind of looks like he's praying.
He'll be needing to do that now that we're going to have to throw him in the deep end, probably
I have a really good feeling about this guy from reading what the Bolton fans think of him. The clips above just confirm it. I think he's going to be a revelation.
I could take notes from him on how to cover up my widow's peak
I think your mohawk hides it quite well already.
