A millionaire footballer not paying child support is a proper asshole though. And, to go to these lengths to continue to avoid doing right by the woman he impregnated says quite a lot about his character too.
Not defending Valencia here as I don't know his case but people not wanting to pay child support doesn't necessarily mean they don't care about their children.
Pretty good indicator that they care more about money than their children though.

Think my first post wasn't worded clearly. Some (at least Rex' claim of Valencia "doing right by the woman he impregnated" indicates as much) seem to be missing that child support isn't paid to the child but its mother. And there are many women exploiting their children for that very reason; if a man pays a more than reasonable sum to the mother of his child but refuses her demands for more would you say he cares more for his money than his children?
