Assisted all three goals so far and then scores like that? Alves has been quality.

Someone in Monaco was definitely offside when the cross was first played. It doesn't really matter since Buffon saved the shot though.

Glik was offside but wasn't interfering with play.

I think it's fair to say he interferes with play when Juventus have to devote a player to marking him though. The cross could just as easily have landed in his path.

World class.

How great is Dybala tonight though? The bloke just doesn't get dispossessed. His close control is incredible.

Alves is probably the best right back of all time. It's been Alves vs Monaco for both legs now.

Plus Buffon saved the shot anyways and Mbappe would have been offside on the followup so makes no difference.

We missed a trick not going for him a couple years back. He looked good back then but could never have predicted he'd get this much better. Just needs to be a bit more of a goalscorer and he can be one of the best forwards in Europe.

99.9% of defenders would have scored an own goal there.

I've seen it three times now and still have no idea how he got that ball out of the way. Incredible.

That guy breathes and lives on defending. Just look at his reaction right after that.

I would imagine that would easily make it into top 10 best defensive clearance ever.

Have no idea what Jardim is thinking though to introduce a formation they have never played before in such a crucial match. He probably tried too hard to outwit Allegri. They looked even more of a mess defensively than the first leg.

Greatest modern full back ever

He might win a 4th CL trophy and third treble this season. Can't think of too many players who won more trophies than him

I honestly can't decide if Marcelo or Alves is better. As a pairing though, unrivalled.

Wonder what Barcelona is thinking letting Alves go. He was so crucial in all of their attacking play.

Mbappe again.. this lad cant stop scoring. every goal adds 3 million to his price

Only need 4 to win.

1 down 3 more to go.

Higuain doing well not to react and get wound up by Glik again. Guy looks like he thinks he's in WWF

mandzukic looks like he wants to kill glik's family.. lol

Juventus are the real deal. I wonder how much their team cost to assemble relative to ours.
Alves is 34 guys. F-me. What an incredible player.

That defence is amazing and the speed at which they counter attack is not too bad either. Juve have been very impressive in the knockout stages.

I'd like to see this bloke win Champions League once before he retires. He's playing for at least another year but it's a long shot to expect Juve to reach the final again. Class act both on and off the field though. Still the best keeper around at 39 years of age. Mbappe tonight was the first player to get a ball past him in the Champions League knockout stages. He has only conceded 3 goals in the entire tournament.

Gonna be a great final. Quality game that, I want Gigi to win it.

the final is going to be a proper slugfest, one of the most evenly matched i've seen in ages. my gut feeling is juve will edge it

Atletico Started this game with such ferocity, I am amazed!
They deserve their lead

Amazing skill by Benzema.

looked like it was out, on the second replay especially?

Was definitely not out. Benz and Navas were magnificent. Great performances from them. Ronaldo's goal should have stood as well.

23 days later

Had a dream Madrid won last night. Weirdly my football dreams have come true in recent times (I dreamed we won the cup final 2-1, although it was against Spuds).

Hope I'm wrong and Juve win it tonight.

Really looking forward to it. Horrible feeling Madrid are going to win but I think Juventus are more than capable. Probably the better team of the two but Madrid have Ronaldo so we'll see.

It's not even that I particularly like Juventus, but I want Buffon to win it because he thoroughly deserves that medal around his neck before he retires. Also I don't think this Real Madrid team are good enough to warrant the acclaim they'd get for being the first side to win the Champions League back to back. They're good but I've seen better over the past 10 or 15 years.

I am all for Juve to win it. Nobody other than Buffon deserves it more.

Going to put a good bet on them.

Would be a waste imo. Real are clear favorites

Yeah...also probably because they have more experience on this stage. Juventus looked like a deer in headlights in their final against Barca 2 years ago. Remember Vidal should have been sent off before HT. But of course they came back and scored after HT, so who knows.

Funnily enougb I had a dream (actually a not so funny nightmare) about the CL last night myself. Luckily one that will not come true, at least during next season, but yeah Wengee will be here for another two years so who knows in 2018/19.

Well we're back in the CL in our first game of the season against Bayern (or maybe it was thd preseason friendlg with thdm, everything was a bit hazy) and they literally score within 4 or 5 seconds from kickoff. Dunno how the game finished as I woke up with the score at 6-0 after 25 mins. Jeez these clowns have done a number on us kver the years.

Ozil must really regret leaving Madrid. Could have been on the verge of winning 3 Champions leagues rather than 3 FA cups.

You seriously believe Özil came here because he thought we had a better chance of winning trophies than Real Madrid?

Rooting for Buffon to win it as well.

No, but I don't think he expected Real to go on to 3 CL finals in 4 years, the one trophy he doesn't have.

Maybe they wouldn't have won them had he stayed.
