Not a fan of Tuchel personally but I think that's a bit unfair, Dortmund have been plagued by injuries for most of the season. You might also remember the bomb that went off next to their team bus injuring Bartra in the process

He has his flaws but when you see how people ride Pochettino's dick like he's Sacchi's second coming I think Tuchel deserves at least a shot with this squad

uefa lacks a heart. we should have seen the first leg of Dortmund-Monaco this week, and the second leg next

Champions league semis are in: Madrid derby and Monaco vs. Juve.
Atletico must be so pissed off. They'll fall to Real. Again. I'm betting on a Real-Juve final, which pits the two best teams in Europe for my money. Monaco-Real would also be enjoyable

Allegri v Jardim will be interesting. Jardim's already taken Tuchel out of the race to be Arsenal manager.

boooooring

tired of watching real vs Atletico in the CL

juve vs Monaco will be interesting, fully expect to see a real vs juve final though

As much as I like Monaco, a compact side will take them out in my opinion. They'd have fared better against Madrid.

aren't you more bored of not watching Arsenal.

Champions League has been great this year (Arsenal excluded of course) and it looks like it will end with a bang of a final between Juve and Real. At this stage I'm banking on Juve winning lifting the trophy in May.

Same, I had them down as winners back in august when the odds were pretty decent. If it pays off I'm gonna take a trip somewhere.

hope atletico win. losing twice in finals already to these financially doped teams. And losing players. Fuck real and juve.

Hope Monaco Atleti final then Monaco wins it.

In order of preference - Monaco, Juventus, At. Madrid and Real Madrid.

Which almost guarantees that Real will win it just to spite me.

I don't mind Madrid, they're entertaining. Atletico though is awful to watch.

Monaco winning would be ideal in a lot of ways. They've been playing the most entertaining football so far. I think Juventus are a more complete side though, and I really want to see Buffon to win Champions League before he retires. I think it would be good for Italian football at large too. Serie A could use a commercial spotlight.

Monaco are the most entertaining and charming, Juventus are probably the best and I wouldn't mind Atletico since they've been in the final twice and Simeone has done an amazing job over there. Don't want Real to win it.

Just putting it out there: I go into a dream state whenever I watch Kroos and Modric play. These are two midfield practitioners operating at the highest level. Praise to the most high.

I think I'd go for Monaco. They're fun.

Most neutrals would go Monaco, as much as they are despised in France.

Real are the best equipped side but i hope they lose.
They were undeserved champions the year they beat Atletico and i've always hated them since they have all those ex-mancs/totts playing for them.
Juventus are probably the best team/coach/tactics combo but, apart from the post Italia 90 era, i've never liked Italian teams who i associate with cheating.
That leaves the "horrible to watch" Atletico and the entertaining Monaco so no contest, really.

6 days later

Cristiano again. He never stops never stopping

Went from all penalties to all headers 🙂

Great goal too. He just keeps on being incredible. Year, after year, after year.

Atletico have been woeful tonight.

Still, Ronaldo is hands down the best player in the world right now.

Hattrick. Real have been sensational tbh

Real v Juve final, for sure

This is the best Madrid have looked for a long time in my opinion. Gotta give it to Ronaldo, guy is a sensational goal scorer.

Right place right time all the time.

Messi is still better.

He's a genius goalscorer. Love watching him.

Not even close in my opinion this season. I say that as someone that would always argue against anyone that said Ronaldo was on Messi's level previously. But the Argentinian has dropped a couple of levels for sure, whilst Ronaldo has gotten better.

He's the best goalscorer I've seen in my time watching football by a country mile.

Ronaldo is the bomb - genuinely thrilling to watch that performance tonight.

Messi scores better goals too. I think he's scored more than ronaldo this season too. All while doing lot of other stuff on the pitch all the time. No doubt ronaldo is a great goalscorer. But if you're enjoying ronaldo over messi, you're missing out.

That's like saying if you prefer Milka to Lindt you're missing out

Thrilling is the word I'd use too. Anytime the ball goes near him in the box I wait for him to do something, somehow that creates a chance. Usually a goal. He's just too clever.

Ronaldo's had a really interesting season in that for a while early in the season he was far more (possibly too) committed to his overall game. He stacked up a number of assists, was applauded for contributing more defensively, and seemed more "balanced". But it took a toll on him as he's aging and his knees are shit, and that led to a noticeable drop in form around December/January.

Since then he's picked it up by reverting back to focusing on end product, and I think it's a role that works well when his team is playing so strongly. Racking up the records and working towards a fantastic double (CL and La Liga) that would surely have him winning the Ballon d'Or again.

I honestly cannot think of a better goal scorer in football right now. His all around arsenal is a marvel. Only Fat Ronaldo has impressed me more. 8 goals in 3 games against arguably 2 of the best 5 teams in the contest.

It's an aesthetic/style thing IMO. Like Federer v Nadal. Messi is obviously more talented, easier on the eye, and has superior dribbling ability. A true genius.

Ronaldo is a monster footballer though- both physically and mentally (which I think is a criminally underrated aspect of his skillset) and is possibly the greatest goal scorer we have ever seen, or will ever see in the game.

That's nothing to sniff at.
