Here?

Written in a United player perspective.

Probably 3rd/4th.

I got that, I wondered why anyone would want to do that on an Arsenal forum

It's that kind of attitude that stops us from having opposition fans on here, jones. Don't make Savz quit!

Do you not get why I would do that? Really?
I was making a point how the United players may not see what Jose has done to Bastian in a bad way. They may like What Jose did, hence the "Jose is here to not fuck about".

That's a potential thought that could run through the minds of some of the players.

Are you seriously unable to read and comprehend the question? Really?

You are describing a specific scenario which is not only unfounded but looks unlikely as most United players will know about how Mourinho lost several dressing rooms in the past. Nothing at all points in the direction of anyone being "joyed to see Bastian go" - even if his team mates agreed with the manager that he's not good enough there's no way they'll be happy about seeing him get treated like shit.

What was done:
Savz wrote something that a United player MIGHT think about what Jose did.

The reason:
Because everyone is saying what was done was a negative thing and will cause a fallout..
I'm opposing that, I could see some players think of it as a ballsy thing to do. Out with the old in with the new.

You're question "Why would anybody do that on an Arsenal forum". - basically why would Savz write a thought of a united player here on an Arsenal forum.

Me: To make a point/support an argument. This is the PL thread of the Arsenal forum. Not everyone has to be Pro Arsenal and against everything that is not Arsenal. I used to be against Jose because of how he treated Wenger/our club, but I grew up, I can take the bad with the good and I sit back and watch it all and enjoy it all. My opinion is that what Jose Mourinho is doing with ousting the players that are not needed is a good thing for his club. No sentiment allowed, especially for players who are passed their primes.

That is the reason.

Apparently, he's cleansing the team of van Gaal stooges. Schweinsteiger and Blind are identified as two such players. It's not abnormal to purge. I'd just like to think that demoting the player on his birthday was an oversight

You could only call it an oversight if it wasn't entirely true to form.

😆 It was his birthday too?!

He's a grown man in fairness, don't think a birthday is any reason to postpone a decision.

Just makes it that extra bit of cold, the Moron special if you will.
I don't blame Moron for wanting to get rid of Schweinsteiger btw; it was obvious all of last season that he is past it. It is, for me, all about the manner in which Moron is going about this. How do you sit down, have a think about the player, probably talk to a few staff members - and then come to the conclusion that this is how you want to play this?!

Disagree, I don't care much for birthdays but that's simply poor form. It's not a decision that has to be put into effect within 24 hours, tell him to fuck off a day before or afterwards, it's not a postponement if there's no hurry to it.

A former colleague at work had his letter of dismissal put on his desk on his birthday just a couple of weeks ago which was the trigger for a number of other employees to also start looking for new jobs. In fairness the company wasn't doing too well either but that's probably even linked to this incident, it's piss poor management to treat your employees like that, even worse for no reason at all. This type of man management always blows up in your face in my experience, even more so when you have a history of facing a full blown mutiny at the world's biggest club.

Exactly. He could let Schweinsteiger continue to train with the team while looking for a move before the end of August. A sale or even a loan would be much better for United as a club than making him rot in the reserves. This is nothing more than Mourinho humiliating a respected pro, a guy who has won everything a footballer could win, just because he feels like it.

This is exactly the kind of power move Mourinho makes where ever he goes and you are right, they add up and create resentment within the squad. Chelsea is the club that defines him and yet he fell out with even his most important allies there and then he fucked them over to go to United.

But you don't know what his motives are. You and most Arsenal trolls on twitter will say just what you have said: It's Mourinho throwing his weight around in typical Mourinho fashion. Why is it not "Jose doing the squad cleansing in true warrior fashion because he wants the best of the best" It's always negative and Mourinho is to blame.. which is what you'd expect from people on here and Arsenal forums.

How does anybody know that Bastian said he's not leaving the club no matter what happens because he likes the amount of money he's on, even if his legs are past it and even if he was somewhat overweight last season? He isn't budging even though he had ligaments in his knee damaged and subsequently missed the last 4-5 months of the season.

Jose could have watched him train, been shocked at what he saw and decided that it was in the clubs interest and in the squads interest to let him go, something he's refused flat out.
Last resort? Demote him to the reserves to push him out.

Mourinho has always had a draconian mentality. This isn't new or shocking. If I were a player I'd want the best team available and If I saw Jose Mourinho doing whatever needs to be done to get that, I'd be happy. You might not.

Thanks for framing it in terms that we can understand. I think too often people view footballers (and other mega celebrities) as being different from the rest of when it comes to basic human needs of self-actualisation, esteem, love and belonging.

Err for healthy debates and discussion or something, I don't know.

There used to be a Villa fan on here back in the day who used to be a good poster. And a Livepool fan too, if I remember correctly.
