He doesn't play much because he's permanently crocked. It doesn't change how talented he is.
Alexandre Lacazette (Breaking: Lyon confirm 35m euro bid)

Sorry for the OT, we'll discuss this if and when a relevant thread pops up.

Edited for you

Yeah but so is Lacazette. I never trust fans when it comes to players like that.
This sounds more like you've already just made up your mind though. My mate gives his players loads of abuse during matches (including Alex).
He scores lots and lots of goals and is highly rated by nearly everyone in France - probably including Deschamps himself. No he isn't Thierry Henry, but some of the comments in this thread are clearly from posters who haven't seen him play and aren't made wet by his name. He would be a good option to spell Giroud, and potentially a terrific option should we play with 2 up top - which we should be doing anyways. It makes no sense to put so much pressure on the '1' striker when there's nobody around to hack it anyways.
Is he a 40 million pound striker? I dunno - the market is crazy but it is what it is and nobody is going to give us a handout.
For what it's also worth, I think this guy would hit the ground running faster than the OMIT-favourite Morata.
He's a goal scorer, we need one of those. I wouldn't complain if we took a gamble on him. He's better than Welbeck and potentially better than Giroud.
I've only seen him a few times and he hasn't impressed. At the same time, his goalscoring record is genuinely impressive, and he hasn't played on a team that is particular dominant so that tells me that something's there. He looks a little like Sturridge or Defoe to me as well-players who get you goals but look like shite when they're not.
Not sure the France thing is something to hold over him. Deschamps is a moron for bringing Gignac and actually playing him. Martial or Lacazette should've been the alternative option through the middle as they add something different to Giroud

Because he's Arsenal through and through. Otherwise nobody would think twice about him
He is better than Walcott and Welbeck but not worth 30m+.
I think in the current market means anyone better than those 2 is probably worth £30m, especially if they're 25.
Needs a lasting run of form and fitness, and then he will be worth that much. Simple as that. Not holding my breath in the slightest any more.
Lacazette, not Jack.
Its also saying we havent followed up. Great, lets lock this thread and forget about it forever.
So we're trying. I guess that is something.
Surely it's just the first bid and we will keep increasing our offer?
As far as I remember, we tried to lowball Xhaka too, but then after being declined we put in a much improved offer.
I wonder why Lyon publicised this offer, what is their motive?
Edit:

Really? Aaww shiiit.
Haha! Aulas taking the piss out of Wenger! Pony up or fuck off!
This is really what it's come to for us? Alex fucking Lacazette? Sigh.
would rather save 40m and take a punt on a project like ben yedder
