@Bold Tone We will see.
The popular vote is NOT meaningless. No comparison with possession stats. And she garnered more votes than him.
Say what you will, but you can not escape the fact that a majority of Americans voted for her
And the EC system may some day be gone.
Gore loses in 2000, won the popular vote. Look at what that led to.
The Comey/FBI letter in July, the late October letter both, I think, did her campaign serious harm and were major reasons for her downfall. It reinforced Trump's "crooked Hillary" comment. For me, the celebrities were like cream on the cake. The Dems were feeling confident, now we know, overly confident, and the celebs came forward. You gonna refuse Bruce, Beyonce and all the others? One reporter following her campaign said that in the last several days before the big event in Philly, she was doing small venues and was not aggressively pushing hard, she was trotting to the finish line. That analysis was not welcomed within the liberal media at the time. Trump was galloping hard.
As for Brexit/EU is significant for Europe and the rest of the world. The political landscape is changing, Trump's election is one example, Brexit/LePen/Rising right wing European is also a part of this shift. They are all part of the same organism. They fit together.
Regarding POTUS, there is such a thing as executive order. Ask President Obama.
As for checks and balances, that is why there are executive orders. Obstructionist Congress screwed Obama royally. Trump has these same obstructionists back in office and in positions of strength within their branch, especially Mitch McConnell in the Senate. Trump may have difficulties with getting money out of the House, and I wonder how he is going to tackle this problem. Who will be the staff he brings in to work as liaisons with House and Senate. Will House be open to meeting him half way, if they do, will he accept that? That's not his version of The Art of the Deal. And these Obama obstructionists may like riding on his wings until the honeymoon is over and the gloves come off. Wait and see for the next episode of Trump Land meets the Congress.
The only people who can answer to your version of his ramblings(actually, when he stayed on message the last couple of weeks and followed his campaign managers strategy, he didn't ramble so much, still limited his vocabulary to 100 words or less, though) are the 50,000,000 plus million Americans who voted for him. Not the 50,000,000 plus who voted for Hillary, who got her the popular vote.
