I'm right pleased that this run is over. It does you a world of good knowing Ferguson will never match that achievement. Too bad you horrible old scumbag.

AC Milan went unbeaten in 1991-1992 and that was 58 games.

Steau Bucharest and Celtic have also done it.

But yup, the won and only in England!

Well Celtic had only to avoid defeat by one team and anyone who scored against Steau were shot.

AC Milan.

Were brilliant in that era (my roaring days).

Oh it does, it really does.

Was never worried to be honest. They were too shit right from the outset to ever manage something like that.

Good for you 🙂

I'd say I wasn't seriously worried on Saturday, but if you'd given it another six matches, or say until we were due to play them, I certainly would've been.

I didn't think they'd lose against Wolves, but - and I'm sure I wrote this somewhere earlier - I've been pretty sure all along that they wouldn't make it out alive from some of the tougher away grounds. Especially not with their poor form away from home (they've won 3 games, drawn 8 - many of them by clawing back a point in injury time from what looked like a certain defeat - and lost 1, with a goal difference of +2).

I think the fixture schedule really favored them during the first half of the season. They're yet to go to Anfield, the Grove, Stamford Bridge and St James. And they've got both City and Chelsea at home. They can look forward to an additional two or three losses at the very least in my opinion.

Was obvious they would lose, not being said in hindsight, I've said it several times before.

But, if the 4-4 told me anything is that you can be dead certain about something and be wrong, so I'm glad it happened sooner rather than later.

They went 29 games, shit or not, you had to be worried.

Even if they didn't go unbeaten all season, if they got to late April still unbeaten they would have practically gone all season, and would have been in the mid-30s (even if the favourable fixture list helped massively, nobody would mention or care about that) and that would have been enough for their horrible fans to belittle our great achievement - I could see it coming "49 games? Who cares? We went 37 and we're supposedly crap" Blah, blah, blah.

Plus I would have shitting bricks if it came down to us stopping them at the Emirates, would have been HORRIBLE.

I agree they were very lucky, not even close to being comparable to our 49, but I'm very thankful and relieved it's over. And that they fell a long, long way short of our total.

It's only because it's manu, nobody cared when Chelsea were doing it.

You were adamant before that they wouldn't do it weren't you Ricky?

You've got such a complex about Manchester United Football Club. I notice it because I hate them too. I'm jealous of their consistent success and it takes me a while to believe when they're poor or if they're poor. Every time they play I expect the worst. It would have been a disaster had they gone unbeaten. It's now time to win the league title, especially that fergie is still around.

Having said that I hate Chelsea more.

Think City will beat them next Sat. If they only draw and we win I shall feel happy as our destiny will once again be in our own hands

Logically I knew they were too crap to do it, but it went on and on, and I started to consider how I'd feel if they did it - and it was horrible thing to consider.

I do have a complex about United, I hate them. Passionately. Some of it is irrational and stems from them winning the trophies I so badly wanted Arsenal to win growing up, but alot of it also stems from the fact that they are just about the cuntiest club that has ever existed. From top to bottom. I despise them. Chelsea don't even come slightly close. In fact, in the last few years, as soon as we're out of the running for the League, I always really want Chelsea to win so those horrible scumbags don't.

Plus Alex Ferguson is a cunt. Pure and simple. He's an utter, utter cunt. Excuse my French, but there's no other word for him.

I was never worried.
Not in the slightest 🙂
There are too many weaknesses in that squad to carry them through a whole season without losing.
🙂
I'm just surprised it took this long for it to happen.

Best thing that can happen for us is for City to give it to them, for the fools to see Tevez scoring against them. That will put Citeh firmly in the title race, but it will put us closer to United, assuming we do not lose to Wolves.

Of course, we COULD lose to Wolves next weekend. In fact, the mood in both clubs is probably good foundation for an upset.

Yeah, absolutely loathe the guy. There's a special canker in my heart for Alex Ferguson and I love to see him fail.

It would have been great to do it there though Rick especially on a controversial decision.
Talk about your poetic justice.

Et tu Y va
I wish I had the calm nerves of you lot, retrospective is a wonderful thing. 😉

It wasn't calm nerves, just sheer stubborness in the face of so much smugness and gloating from the Man U fans who haunt my life :hmm:.

You know I met one on Monday and all he could talk about was what happened to us at the weekend?
They are just as cheered by the fact that we threw a 4 nil lead as we are about them losing.

Fuming that we gave that present to them.

I think their season is about to come unstuck. Would love to see City trounce them on the weekend actually.
