I thought he looked pretty good in the run in last year once he eventually replaced Holding. I don't think Saliba or Gabriel would look too graceful as fullbacks either. That he's done a pretty decent job of it is a good sign.

We've also got White, Tomi and Timber who can all play in that 'back 3' set up. We need one more in the back line just for numbers probably but it shouldn't be a big buy unless FFP is a non-issue.

JazzG has Kiwior had much opportunity at CB? I wasn't that high on him before but I think his run in the team has shown he's capable and his flexibility is a nice bonus. I wont cry if we move him on but I think investing in a better centre half rather than other areas would be a waste of time and money.

Qwiss not many, but I remember he was quite impressive versus Chelsea in the run-in last season, for example. And that was at RCB.

I thought the Gabriel slander was one thing wanting him replaced with Diomonde, but then swapping Saliba with Pacho for a Pacho and Diomonde CB pairing? That has to be a joke, surely.

People have some strange ideas when it comes to improving our team trying to replace the likes of our CBs while we still have huge holes in midfield, CF and LB to fill.

I’d also want to see the attack and midfield strengthened. Addressing the issues there and in defence aren’t mutually exclusive.

Both Diomande and Pacho look exceptional talents.

lorddulaarsenal keep Martinelli. But get that third winger. Preferably better. I’d keep all these guys. If you want to rotate and keep the minimum level high, guys like Martinelli, Jesus. Havertz etc are great.
It’s the guys we don’t use that all need to be replaced over time with better players. That way when we play Bayern, Wolves, Chelsea, we keep a high level all the time

Qwiss artetas idea of improving our attack always seems to start from the back. I've kind of given up on fighting it ever since we spent so much of our budget on white instead of finalising our midfield - something we're still waiting on. would not surprise me in the slightest if we spend big on another CB or FB. I remember the fan narrative was slowly turning against white when we signed timber, but with timbers injury, white avoided becoming yesterdays hero like ramsdale. also wouldn't be surprised to see someone like gabriel on the outs with supporters next season if we get another CB

When interviewed on Wednesday night, Arteta said he needs a big forward. He knows this as much as us. He also failed in getting Mudryk last January, and this is a different profile to Trossard.

Really hope our interest lies elsewhere. I don't think he would be a disastrous signing by any means and likely would improve us in the EPL (I have my doubts on if he would improve our chances in the UCL due to his technical ability). But I just feel like we could better use that funding elsewhere.

Claudius Hard pass by me. Love his talent of course but his work rate out of possession is DIRE. No way Arteta would tolerate that. But we do need more ball striking and individual excellence in the squad this summer so I hope we are sniffing around wingers like Nico Williams, Pedro Neto, Crysencio Summerville, and Edon Zhegrova.
