JazzG Newcastle would absolutely love to sell him for that given their much-discussed FFP/PSR constraints, wouldn't they? They've got Tonali returning and are probably ready to punt on replacing Guimaraes for less.
Transfers on this scale aren't ones we shouldn't be completing (compare Rice), but they'll be a big gamble on 1–2 league titles and deep (and congested) European campaigns in the coming 2–3 seasons if they're to make sense.
With Rice and even with Partey making his exit, I'm not clear why there's any urgency to add more physicality and aggression. That's not what we've lacked in Europe this season for instance.
