My friend swims in the Serpentine, and occasionally the Thames. In winter. She is mad.
Nice! Yeah I ought to make an effort to dip my toes in the Serpentine, Heath ponds or Hackney reservoir at least once to avoid harbouring any regrets in the future.

If you're into smoking shisha (like I am) you'll find plenty of places open until 4-5am even on weekdays. I'm back in London for my summer holidays and loving every minute of it after soending the best part of the year working abroad.
Thats true, think its speaks more to me being out of touch. Not a lot of shisha bars I know of in East London but of course Edgware Road area is the most obvious cluster. Late night pool bars, late night cafes (studying), late night cafes (socialising), audiophile lounges, cocktail bars that serve till 6, and late license venues to watch NBA playoffs for e.g. - those types of establishments feel a little deficit. Again - probably just out of touch.

I loved Taipei and the Hong-Kong before China ruined it
I really enjoyed the qualities of Hong Kong and glad to I got go just months before the pandemic and political annexing. The access to nature was my favorite aspect.
