Agree there are nicer places to live in than Germany. If you add the caveat "when you have significant wealth" though there are loads of places better than London to be, being rich anywhere is great and London weather (as is German) is the absolute pits.

In terms of football 4 of last seasons EPL top7 came from London, and they are all in UEFA comps this season with 2 being in the UCL. Not sure any other city in europe can make a similar claim.

London is a top 3 City in the world. Best restaurants, best clubs, best parties, best events, best parks, best artists come here, top women from all over the world. Best companies and start ups/fintechs based here.

I was in Hamburg in March and that place pisses over Frankfurt. Berlin, although can have a weird vibe, kills Frankfurt too from a cultural perspective.

Love how you’re trolling your own team to make a point about smelly Frankfurt.

London has bad places but does every City in the world. I’m sure Frankfurt has some ‘dodgy’ areas too with unsavoury ppl.

London has 2000 years of history and world class museums/monuments. Comparing it to Frankfurt LMAO.

Frankfurt is just as diverse as London, 60% non Germans in the city similar ratio to London I think. Don't need a day and a half to cross the city either

On a serious note London is nice. Bit overrated - not top 3 worldwide - and way overpriced but great music, art etc scene. 2000 year history isn't especially long still

As a long-time Londoner, I think its slipped from top 3 considerations. Lots of first class things here some of which have been mentioned. However, suffers from no late night social spots (outside of clubs), no air-conditioned subway/tube, economy-tier/truck food is low quality, no bodies of water to swim, no epic wildnerness in outskirts/touching distance, literring/beautification is variable.

This thread is becoming very entertaining. I've only been to Munich in Germany and it was lovely for a tourist. So Frankfurt must be really something. I'll have to add it to my list.

If you're into smoking shisha (like I am) you'll find plenty of places open until 4-5am even on weekdays. I'm back in London for my summer holidays and loving every minute of it after soending the best part of the year working abroad.

Top 3 cities for me is easily Tokyo, New York and San Fran.

London comes close but mainly because I love Arsenal. I loved Taipei and the Hong-Kong before China ruined it
