Why do you think that? For me Tielemans is likely to give you as much going forward but he's a better all rounder and he's been doing it in the PL. Same age too.

I feel that if Paqueta was to find his feet in the PL, offensively, he would be a level above Tielemans.

Tielemans though has another level in his locker as well, and maybe he finds it with us. I would buy Tielemans myself, and I can’t understand how we haven’t tied down a deal for him, when seemingly we are chasing players far much money in positions which are not a priority.

Yeah I really don't get it. He's not as expensive, wants to come here and is just what we need. Just get it done instead of obsessing over centre halves and winger who don't even want to come here.

tielemans seems a smarter buy here, and im not even a huge fan of him. I'm always nervous when we get ligue 1 imports in the 50m+ price range

I see them as equally risky (the potential of more "upside"). With Paqueta you can't k ow whether he'll replicate his quality in the PL and with Tielemans you don't know if this season has been a dip in form or if it's his level. However Tielemans is much cheaper so seems a no-brainer.

In the end I would not do it.

To replace Gabriel will be very hard, and at what cost?

For example we will need to get an Ndicka plus one other. So that is three new CBs along with White and Holding, and we know Holding is not good enough.

The only CB that could persuade me would be Fofana, but how much would Leicester want?

Frankfurt is beautiful, but London is London. Arsenal as a club, the money they can offer blows Frankfurt away.

I think we would be a strong contender for him.

Although I would go for Fofana.
