Apart from Rashford who I don't consider a CF they are all older than Abraham though. Plus none of them would go for as low as £40m at the moment (apart from Vardy who's 34). I think he'd be a gamble worth taking, he's certainly not in the same bracket as the over hill Chelsea players we've taken recently. I wouldn't mind seeing us make moves for him and being a bit more aggressive in our negotiations, should be easy to turn his head and if we don't get a striker so be it so our bargaining position is strong.

When I said he's the seventh best English striker I was only talking about that - how good they are. While Rashford is sometimes playing winger and some times striker I'd certainly have him upfront rather than Tammy.

£30m doesn't seem right given the current market. I can't imagine we'd get that for Leno for example.

Except if Auba is injured and he's our only other striker we would have to keep playing him and pay 40m for him which he won't be worth in a million years.
Don't want to see him start for us under any circumstance, if Nketiah got as many starts as he did for Chelsea 2019 he'd have scored a similar amount of goals. We don't want him to start either

We'd still have other options. Balogun, Martinelli, etc
Abraham scores at a better rate than Lacazette and has room to improve. He gets on crosses, he can play off the shoulder and he knows where the goal is. Decent hold up play too. He has proven himself in the PL and he's only 23. Loads of potential there. A loan for this season to rotate with Auba is ideal if you then have the option to sign him or not. Its far better than getting someone like Odegaard for 5 months and then not being able to sign him.

I do like Abraham, he was decent in his first season at Chelsea, and good in the championship, young, Arsenal fan, HG etc...but 40 mil? Fuck no, I would rather keep Laca, and play Balogun as much as possible.
