Yeah you're looking leagues better than ten years ago, still comparing the 400m people living in Canada and the US to the 400m in South America there's an infinitely bigger chance of finding talents in the latter pool.

When you read that and look all the stats you really see we need much more running from the team. At the moment we are bang average on those stats and it shows in the table.

Confirms my impression of the team. We're shit at pressing and there is little intensity in the way we play. Arteta is such a shit manager..

I think Tammy is actually a decent striker and has qualities I'd envision arteta wants from a line leading player, but come on arsenal. do better

When I see Isak being valued at 60m, Lewandowski 50m, Vlahovic 50m etc, 40m for TA doesn't seem that bad when we paid 35m for Mustafi and nearly 50m for Laca.

TA was amongst their top goal scoring forwards last season and could have a point to prove in addition to being a boyhood Gooner.
Not sure who we could get to fit the DLF role and be PL ready for less who is not already at a club amongst the top half, & I think Calvert-Lewin would possibly be higher priced.

I'd rather bring in someone like Gouiri so that he can develop here over the next year or two as Aubameyang sunsets. We have consistently followed a policy of optimizing for the immediate term in the last 5 years and it has nearly always backfired.

I think he's a good player though. He's coming off a rough season because Chelsea signed the inferior Werner to play instead of him. Season before he looked very good and scored a lot of goals. If Ben White is worth £50m Abraham is easily worth £40m. If we could sell Eddie and Laca and replace them with Abraham that would be an improvement.

But like you said yourself, White isn't worth that so that would just mean using an overly expensive transfer to justifying overpaying for someone else.

I think Kane, Vardy, Ings, Calvert-Lewin, Rashford and Watkins are all better than him.
