Isn't he down to the final year of his deal too and is basically refusing to sign? I agree with Qs though, Arteta doesn't strike me as the type to want to make an 18yr old his main central midfield signing.

If Arteta is still keen on keeping Xhaka then I won't be surprised if he is looking at young blood. There is talent you invest in and it could go either way but with some talent the probability of success is just higher. Camavinga fits in that bracket I think. Keeping a senior experienced player like Xhaka may allow Arteta to bed in a young player slowly into the team and this League.

camavinga, esr and saka would be very exciting. add bissouma to shore things up and I'd be satisfied with that

Just came in to post that. He would be an incredible addition. A signing I could 100% fully get behind. If you have a team that has Saka, ESR, Tierney, Partey, Camavinga, Martinelli, any coach can walk in even if Arteta screws around. He’s such a talent.

he not walking into those teams though. we can pitch him on a big salary and regular premier league minutes. the zizou factor might come into play, but it's not certain he'll stay on as coach

I'd love to have Camavinga here but surely he will see how Saliba and Douzi have been treated and will not want to come here.

He's not a nailed on starter but he will be in a little while. Much higher level of talent than Sanches who was a bit dumb to move to Bayern so early
