As much praise as Mbappe gets I think Neymar looks PSG's best player every time I watch them. Neymar probably knows that he's their best player and still gets criticized more often than not because the French media has found their golden boy. I understand that he wants back, so if he really is set on leaving this is a good deal for both clubs. Obviously Barcelona would have to pay a considerable sum in addition to giving them Dembele.

If this is it from him, half a dozen goals, inconsistent technique and questionable decision making then there’s no chance I would pay big buck for him.

The guys a long way away from it as things stand. Don’t buy the hype.

He needs to develop, but the amount of talent is above anybody on our team. Even with all those gaps. He just first needs to overcome those muscle issues so he can have a solid first team run. That will be half the problem solved. Bringing him and putting him on a long conditioning program til September/ October might yield a season to remember. He could give us 20/10 very quickly.

he was showing the potential to put up good numbers in his last season in germany. the capability was there, but his move to barca wasn't the right fit. if he'd stayed and developed in dortmund i think his market value would be insane right now

IIRC that was what the piece I read proposed - an initial loan with the fee counting towards an agreed price, then spread the remainder over a 5 year deal.

If we signed him it would also make the basis for a compelling argument to invest heavily in the squad to support him in terms of quality & capability.
I'd be spending all the cash reserves and projected revenues to be capable of a deep run into the later stages of the CL & PL title challenge, and then worry about UEFA & FFP later. As was reported in an earlier piece the penalties UEFA have handed down re FFP are nothing that we have not done ourselves under AW = transfer bans and reduced player squad numbers.

I think we can now disregard most of those 'linked' to us & we may have trouble signing players with release clauses or valued at around 20-30m.
Not sure how we'd go trying to sign the likes of Fraser, Ziyech, Neres etc.

this will without doubt be the shittest summer. not only is there no actual hope, but we don't even have deluded optimistic hope. we're absolutely knackered before the windows even opened. the best part of the summer will come from selling a few clowns

Seen a bit of andersen. He looks decent. Right age profile too

Praet is excellent. One of Sampdoria's best players this season. From the little I've seen he seemed to move into another tier as the technical level of their midfield went up post-Torreira.

Not too sure about Andersen, maybe our Danish residents can shed some light on him, but he doesn't strike me as a player who's quite good enough for top four in Premier League, either now or in a few years, which I think has to be our goal for any new signing.

Andersen is quite similar to Holding. Good physique, decent tackler and good with the ball at his feet but less error prone than Holding. He's certainly very talented but not sure he has enough ability to come in and improve us that much for next season. For the prices being quoted for him I don't think we're looking at him anyway.
