No way I would accept Cesc back here but to call his tenure at Chelsea his prime is really pushing it. We had way more of his best years.

In hindsight though his prime turned out to be between the ages of 18-23.

If we got Cesc back we'd need different strikers. Think of his combinations with van Persie, and even Adebayor when he was bovvered. We don't have anyone like that at the moment. Cesc to Giroud or Welbeck would be so frustrating to watch.

Of course we need different strikers anyway, with or without Cesc.

Lol - if the talk re new deals for the coaching staff & the DoF role being shelved then AW has strengthened his position & would be seemingly untouchable. I have little to no faith that he's capable of pulling a rabbit out of the hat this summer.

He has said he wouldn't re-sign them in the same capacity. He's happy yo resign players for squad/rotation roles.

Truth is with his new deal & position of power enforced he's happy to do as he pleases,
as the club will be in no better position to replace him at the end of his new deal.

Cesc is now 30 folks. (do you feel old yet?) We won't be signing him up.

Linked with Amine Harit (along with a host of other clubs). Stats don't look good, but compilations do - as with most youngsters. Don't know much else about him tbh, but would be great to have a player who can dribble that well - he could really explode over the next few years if coached right.
