Chelsea are the team to beat, and so far I've only heard a lot of noise, no real action from Arsenal.

Chelsea were already 12 points behind last October or whatever it was. Since then we've added Coquelin, Bellerin, Gabriel and Cech to the equation, that's 3, potentially 4 players who go into the first XI, that's a massive change.

Also, relative to Chelsea, we've got massive potential for improvement from simply keeping our players available for longer periods.

Arsenal has made little noise, to be true. One director came out talking about 200 million in cash, but nobody else is making noise. What's happening is that fans are whipping themselves into a frenzy over incredible news articles and tweets from nobodies. This summer more than any has shown me just how dangerous Twitter can be in a world where people want information quickly, want certain events to pass, and are not clear about how to verify the information on these events.

Wenger going on about how we're ready for the title, it's good to see the belief, but there's not much action to back it up, just blowing hot air.

Nonsense. Not sure how anyone can deny not missing your best players for half a season will result in dramatic improvement.

In fact, regardless of who we sign, if we don't sort our injury situation we won't be doing anything in the league.

There probably are, but the amount we'd have to spend to get those players in addition to the question marks over blending into the team and getting accustomed to the PL and eventually how much of a difference they really make are not enough to merit throwing away the time and effort spent on the likes of Chamberlain just before they fully break out as players. We're not Real Madrid, we can't afford to chase after every flavour of the month player and discard them when another one pops up.

If there were simple fixes, Wenger would do it. Like he did with the goalkeeper situation. Like he's trying to do with the striker situation. Which is not turning out to be as easy as it seems. Which was my initial point.

I guess the argument would be that even if Chelsea were missing Costa, Cech, Matic and Terry all at the same time, for a prolonged period, they wouldn't be adversely affected.
Except they clearly would.
