I mean I don't think the guy is an amazing manager but he's not an idiot. I can't see prize assets like Varane available 4 cheap. Pepe is 32 years old and probably has another season or so at the top level. Then it's all about Varane.

But maybe Pepe, with all his experience at 32, is more of a Benitez centre back than Varane still wet behind the ears at 22?

Not saying they'll sell him cheap, but don't think it's out the question they sell him in order to get another experienced guy in.

Pepe has a good chance to start for sure, he's been amazing the last two seasons when he's been fit. But you don't need to ditch the best young CB to get a third experienced head on top of him and Ramos. You never know with Madrid but that would be madness IMO.

Milan are trying to come back. They were recently agreed to be sold and they are reportedly in for quite a few big names.

They wouldn't be a million miles away with him in the team. He's one of a handful of players out there who could singlehandedly turn a team into title challengers.

My guess is that Galliani has promised him further reinforcements. He's probably making this move because of personal relations to the Milan board, but we should get in on this. A 33 year old Ibrahimovic could still win us a couple of league titles before he's done.

Too old, and not good enough to be worth it IMO. I'd much rather pay more for a younger guy, like Kondogbia/Schneiderlin, and let that player grow into the squad.

We have no room for him and its too late now, yeah. If even the likes of Spurs and Liverpool are not in for him anymore, then you know he's past it.

Same age as Arteta when we bought him, but yeah, I'm not saying he's the top of the line signing we're all waiting for.

One of my friend bumped into Dennis Praet in Belgium. He claimed that he is in negotiations with Arsenal over a move.

Have to say I wasn't that impressed with him at all during our matches against Anderlecht this season. Tielemans is the greater talent.
