Got the message regarding to many connections and thought the site may have been down as a result of the story - lol.

That said whilst there has been talk of PSG selling Zlatan, IMO there is more chance of us signing Cavani because I suspect AW would consider Zlatan too much of a disruption, and we are unlikely to agree personal terms, let alone that Zlatan has said he is too old for the physicality of the PL.

Or there is less chance of us signing Cavani because the people who run PSG are rational individuals who recognise that he's just as good a striker at Ibra and is 1) younger and 2) cheaper to maintain.
I've always been a big Zlatan fan, but I am not so excited about signing him for what would be maybe a top season and then a decline. Also doesn't fit into my ideals of speed of fluidity

Current spin on any transfer talk seems to be about penny pinching.
We're supposedly not prepared to pay 25m for Schneiderlin but we are prepared to pay 22m for Krychowiak?
We're not prepared to show any interest in Higuain for 30m but we are prepared to bid 22m for Martinez IF we can shift 3 players before hand to raise the funds?

I don't really believe any of it - just get annoyed that it's all so predictable from the rags as a result of our not having announced anything as yet. Hence the roll on July 1st when the actual transfer window opens.

Reports in Spain say Raphael Varane wants out and is available for £22m. United and Chelsea at the front of the que, with interest from us. Madrid seem to be eyeing up a more experienced defender, with our own Kos being mentioned, along with the likes of Leonardo Bonucci at Juve.

If he were to leave, Mourinho would probably nab him. Which would obviously be a bloody nightmare! Maybe it really is worth using Kos to make sure he ends up as part of a swap deal. Take the other clubs out of the equation?

Varane recently signed an extension, I can't see a reason for them to sell him at such a low price.

Would snap their wrist off at that price but he won't be sold that cheap. Unfortunately Chelsea/Man Utd will be ahead of us in the queue to sign him. Mourinho in particular is a big fan and I'm sure Varane would probably want to work with him again.
