Yep I only watched Jericho a few months ago and while it was flawed it was way more interesting than Revolution. Its like they took all the shittest parts of the other high concept shows from the last few years like The Event, FlashForward, Terra Nova, V, etc and mashed it all together to make one steaming pile of mega-shite.

Has anyone seen Arrow, by the way? I'm cautiously optimistic after the first three episodes. It feels a lot like Smallville but there are signs of a darker tone already. I hope they explore it. I didn't like how they disposed of Deadshot in the latest episode though. Potentially awesome character and they fucked it up. They need to get rid of a few of the supporting characters from the main cast too. Hopefully it'll sort itself out during the course of the season.

The show is okay, Klaus. Just saw the three episodes last night and nothing too great about the show. But I think I am going to watch few more episodes to see if its worth following. Yeah, the support cast is not good enough.

Yeah, same. I like that they seem to have taken the license pretty seriously though. A lot of characters from the DC universe will reportedly show up. Deathstroke, who's the epitome of awesomeness, is confirmed among others.

Yeah I've been watching its decent enough but it could go either way. After a few episodes once their audience settles in they need a few multi-episode arcs to add a bit more depth to the villains.

the interrogation scene in this weeks homeland had some of the best acting ive seen on tv in ages, particularly from the guy who plays brody.

Still on the first season of homeland, excellent show.

Shame to read here that revalution is a bit crap, I thought it sounded interesting. Is the acting the main problem? Amazing how they get the casing wrong so often for these shows.

Started watching "Last Resort" its from the same guy as The Shield(Shawn Ryan). Its only about 5 episodes in defiantly worthy of a watch. Its about a nuclear submarine that defects from the US. Very good so far and has similarities to the shield.

The pace, over abundance of moral dilemmas for the characters. The seemingly impossible situations the cast get themselves out of against the odds with a last minute stroke of random luck.

It doesn't look like The Shield but Terriers, Chicago Code, etc are similar enough.

And Andre Braugher and Scott Speedman aren't 100 miles away from Dennis Haysbert and Scott Foley in The Unit.

Have not actually watched any of the other shows other than one ep of Chicago Code.

I'll give you pace, but the rest can be applied to pretty much every american show of this kind. Also what made the Shield great is that quite often they didn't get themselves out of trouble.

Anyone watch The Thick Of It? I've only watched the last series but I'm going to go back and watch from the beginning. Great show, can't believe it's passed me by until now.

the series is over now sadly. the last season wasn't the greatest, mainly because i didn't find the lib dems very entertaining, apart from mannion. all the other seasons were pretty much amazing.

Wasn't Mannion a Tory? I didn't like their version of Malcolm at all, all the bullshitty business speak stuff just didn't hold up as a long running joke.

Yeah Mannion and the tall idiot and the blonde girl were Torys, the 2 smug career politicians who thought they were geniuses were Lib Dems. They were all in the office together because its a coalition. One of the main jokes is that those 2 arseholes have no power at all.

Thought this final series wasn't quite as good as those which came before. Particularly the first two "Labour" episodes. The episode where Tickell died and Mannion and Stuart Pearson were photographed on a slide was probably my favourite one. Up until the last episode which was TTOI going out in a blaze of glory.
