Watched episode 9 of the first series of Game of Thrones last night. SPOILER ALERT:

Did not expect Sean Bean to have his head chopped off. Thought he was going to get saved at the last minute as would usually happen with a main character. If that had been Robin Hood an arrow would have come out of nowhere and there would have been a big fight and he'd escape.

Possibly my favourite Boardwalk Empire episode so far.

Last two eps will be huge.

im still pissed about Jimmy at the end of last season. i did, however, like how they all walked out on Nucky at the end of the last ep. and basically left him on his own. powerful moment

that said, im watching it on my own now. the wife stopped watching it at the end of season 1 as she was pissed about Jimmy too (the only character she still liked)

Yep. Fuck this shit. There's only one character left who I like at this point and he'll probably fall down a couple of stairs and break his neck off-screen or something.

The box was a huge mistake in the last episode.

I don't even like Richard Harrow half as much as I did last season. They haven't balanced his character all that well this season, he's just a lonely sad sack desperate for someone to love him. I do still like him but I fear he's just going to become Nuckys next goon which is about as boring a direction as the show could possibly go with him.

I still enjoy Rothstein, Lucky, Capone, etc but thats about it. Can't stand Gyp, Nucky, van Alden, Gillian.

And everytime the politicians are on the screen my brain just turns itself off.

I'm with you on the politicians. I'm also pretty disappointed with how the story arcs of Van Alden, Harrow, and Chalky White have fizzled out so far.

But, every scene involving Masseria has been so chilling, it has that Godfather element to it. Stephen Graham is phenomenal every time he's in it.

A big problem in my opinion is that they haven't fictionalised the story enough. We know the story ends when they get rid of Nucky, but so many big characters' fates are mapped out for them which makes a lot of the storylines a little bit predictable.

i like Lucky and Capone too, too bad Capone isnt in it as much..

spolier alert for anyone that hasnt watched the first season:
and i dont think Harrow will become a Nucky goon (at least, not for long once he finds out who killed his only/best friend in Jimmy).. but yes, he is very sad sack..

agree about the politicians.. Cromwell is annoyingly useless, as is the guy from News Radio and i REALLY cant stand what's happened with Van Alden's character..
