Different people will take it different ways, but at least I've said what (I think) the article was getting at 🙂
@Don The clever thing about these cable dramas is that they inevitably function this way, showing us the glaring imperfections of misogyny and complex characters, whilst still exploiting a milieu that (again almost inevitably) provides plenty of philandering, violence against women, asymmetric power in relationships, strip club scenes etc.
'Sexposition' is hardly unique to Game of Thrones.
The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, all guilty to a greater or lesser degree. At least I understand why these shows piss some women off, especially those who've been in abusive relationships etc.
