Some good British shows for you:

Spooks - Fantastic drama/action/thriller series about MI5 spies.

Hustle - Follows a team of con artists. Similar idea to the Ocean's film series, but better.

I assume you know Dr Who and Torchwood? If not, then they are must sees too. And all the old comedies already mentioned - Red Dwarf, Only Fools and Horses, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers and Some Mothers Do Ave Em in particular.

Hustle is good.. but mainly the first 4 seasons... couldnt get into MI5 though.. watched the first 2 episodes but couldnt go past that for some reason

Spooks owns all IMO. Gets better every season and the later ones are better than the first couple. For some unknown reason I didn't start until series 5 (there have been 10) and got hooked, so have since watched series 1-3 although haven't got round to tracking down 4 yet.

Episodes 10-13 of Season 4 of Breaking Bad are magnificent. I'm not sure how people manage to watch a show like that with week-long breaks between shows. I'm spent

Psych was back this week. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate that show. One of the top five achievements on television in the last five years. I just watched the season opener. Malcolm McDowell guest starred. Great stuff.

i watch most of the usa network shows, they are light and fun. usa use to just have monk, but since they hit on that formula they have been delivering them non-stop. amc just came out of nowhere.

Apparently there's some sort of reference to Arsenal in this weeks Walking Dead, I didn't notice it but I wasn't aware of it till now. Someone figure it our for me.

i haven't gotten around to it on my dvr yet, probably in a couple hours but that wouldn't surprise me because earlier this year when i found out that rosario dawson was a gooner via her twitter postings i noticed that she was following a producer by the name of Gale Anne Hurd who was a huge gooner.

Community is the best show on TV.

Boardwalk Empire is as good as the first season.. introduces (or expands) some characters in the first few episodes..

Klaus - I think we're the only 2 people here who like Psych..

I think Boardwalk Empire is only ok. Its just not as good as it should be.

Yeah i might wait for the whole season to be released and watch it in one go. once a week makes it feel like nothings happening

@Qs based on season one I agree ... not bad, just didn't really hold my attention. It's a mediocre period drama with nothing to say. The HBO equivalent of one of those endless BBC bonnet dramas.

I still watch and enjoy it but I can't help wanting it to be as good as Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Mad Men, The Wire, etc and its not coming close.

Seen the first 5 or so episodes of season 4 of Baking Bread, bar the first episode of the new season I have been slightly disapointed , very slow moving and some quite predictable scenes. Hopefully it will pick up.

Be patient. The last 4 episodes are something to behold. The whole section with one of the characters' homes becoming a mad house is a bit tedious though

the first 5 episodes are just preheating the oven. things to warm up after that, and the end is just flat out baking hot
