Are you talking about new stuff or what?
New stuff that I've heard good things about but haven't watched yet are The Hours (based in the 50s I think, TV news/spy thing) and Luther (Idris Elba AKA Stringer Bell as a cop who doesn't play by the rules). I've seen neither yet but I plan to watch both.
Best English stuff is usually comedy. Peep Show and The Inbetweeners are the best ones lately. If you haven't seen them already then Black Adder, Alan Partridge, Only Fools and Horses, Red Dwarf, Spaced should all be watched.
