In a way I was kinda hoping that Sutter wouldn't go down this road but I agree, it's pretty much ineviteable now. Perlman has stated that he doesn't want to get stuck too long doing television too.
I have mixed feelings about this season otherwise. I'm starting to really despise Jax. He's basically a carbon copy of Clay. Less murderous, sure, but ever since he voted through the drug thing it's been clear that he's in it for the same reason. He just wants to cash in before he leaves. He's been moaning about Clay for three straight seasons and then he's turning his back on everything and everyone just because he decides that he's had enough. He deserves some kind of punishment in the finale. I hope it's coming. Right now Bobby and Opie are the only two characters I still have any sympathy for.
Did anyone catch Piney reading Cycle of the Werewolf by the way? I thought it was a nice detail.
