Don't think the two last seasons were poor. Season 4 was, but not season 5. And for a Community movie, Danny (or Donald, as some like to call him) Glover would definitely be back.

Yes, Season 4 was weak, but 5 had its moments despite losing Glover and Chase. They only had to make 12 more episodes + a Movie for everyone to depart in peace with it. Gutted.

Yeah delighted Louis is back. That Seinfeld episode was great. I've no doubt Seinfeld would act like that either. 😆

I'm really enjoying Silicon Valley now too.

Just saw the fight between Dan and the Captain in the thoroughfare. Not a great fight in itself, but it certainly had a good climax! 🙂

Have to say - the ending to Deadwood was fucking disappointing! Ian McShane was brilliant throughout, the dialogue was awesome all the way, Raylan was Raylan but, the ending was very, very fucking disappointing.

Yep, pretty much all of the third season of Deadwood was poor, Rex.

Right after I'd watched it I really wanted the concluding movie that was mooted for a while to be made, but in retrospect it's probably a good thing it never was made.

They just left everything unfinished. I don't understand the logic either; a guy, a rich one but still, comes into camp and just bosses everyone around. To his help he has exactly 1 man. He was big, but one man nonetheless. With the way the show had been up til then, I have no idea why they didn't just kill the fucker right then and there. Problem solved - everyone happy. Even at the end, they had 150 Chinese blokes with guns...

Ah, well. They obviously didn't plan to end the show after season 3, but as a season it still lacked a real ending, a finale.

I think the biggest issue was that the show had rehabilitated Swearengen as a relatively nice, reasonable man by that stage. They castrated one of TV's finest antagonists a little too quickly.
