Anyone watched Under the Dome? Starts on TV here next week so will give it a go.

At the moment I'm really enjoying Arrow (up to episode 17 here) and Person of Interest (up tp season 2 episode 9). I see season 3 of the latter will be starting in a few weeks while we're still halfway through season 2. Still awaiting Game of Thrones season 3 too.

Nope, though my boss says UNDER THE DOME is good.

I did end up watching the first season of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK on the recommendation of a couple of friends, which was pretty much what I expected, WEEDS except in prison.

It's sort of entertaining, but it's got pretty fucking soft edges. Good to see Nicky from S2 of The Wire is still in work though.

Really liked Orange. Very funny but also a lot of emotion. The premise is great and it's definitely better than Weeds imo.

I have also watched the first season of 'Orange Is The New Black', but to me this show has failed to deliver compared to first three seasons of 'Weeds'. Its much more serious and less over the top.

I am now considering which series should i watch next: 'The Newsroom', 'House of Lies' or 'Hannibal'.

Hah, indeed i meant 'House of Cards'. 'House of Lies' was offputting after the first two episodes and i didnt continue with it.

Yeah, I like it better than WEEDS so far.

I did like that show for a while though, but it was just a bit empty-headed after four or five seasons. The Mexicans were almost racist caricatures in a lot of ways as well, but BB's also a bit guilty of that.

Under the Dome is pretty bad. Though its kind of easy watching if you just accept that its utter nonsense.

I hated Weeds. The first season was ok but after that it was just insufferable. OitB is much better so far.

I love the theme song of Weeds. Watched the first 3 seasons or so and then got bored.

Have you seen the original (British) House of Cards? Easily one of the best things ever produced.

Just watched the first episode of Under the Dome. Enjoyed it but can't get past the question of why the hell can't they just dig under it. Assume it must be dealt with at some point.

Without wanting to venture into the BB thread as I haven't watched any episodes yet, how comes the ratings have jumped to much for the second half of the season?

newsroom is getting really, really good now. the sanctimonious stuff has been toned down and it's getting more intense. great show.

It's been a terrific season so far. Loving Marcia Gay Harden. I'm hoping to see some West Wing actors next year. There were rumours a while back that Bradley Whitford might be lined up for a role.
