The fact that Welbeck is injuried now speaks even more against getting a new one. As now clubs know we are desperate and will try to fleece more money out of Wenger, which never sits well with him. We're fucked.

The situation doesn't mean no striker, it means bargain striker. After all, we actually are desperate.

God Wenger's a prick, I'm so sick of Arsenal being blocked from gratification by his fucking pride.

There is about a 5% chance of a name striker coming (source ---- real life: EVERY single season) , one that we would actually want that is. He really has fucked us up alright.

I don't know for sure, but I'll guess PSG.

Yahoo reporting PSG are in advanced talks with Real and James.

No Higuain/Morata for them, then.

James makes more sense. They already have one of the world's top 6 striking talents

Trapp
Meunier Silva Luiz Maxwell
Verratti Matuidi
Ben Arfa James Di Maria
Cavani

UCL winning pedigree. Lucas is reportedly on his way out with Liverpool likely destination.

Lucas is quality, really don't get what happened to him udring his time at PSG and why only a club if Liverpool's ilk is willing to take a punt on him. He's the kind of player whose career Wenger would have revived a long time ago.

Winning the CL against Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern with Luiz, Matuidi and Cavani in their lineup? I don't see it.

Krychowiak was presented today, expect Matuidi to be benched after his poor tourney

Yeah, I'm still not sold by that PSG lineup.

And Unai Emery, master tactician of cup football. I am pretty confident he will bring Cavani back to his best

No matter how good their lineup is, the big three have much better ones. That's my entire point, to be honest I responded to "CL winning pedigree".

That's actually a good point, if there's anybody who can revive Cavani's career it's Emery. Every striker he has ever worked with has looked great under him, starting with Negredo about ten years ago at lowly Almeria.

I would classify them as the big four now.

If there's a big four, I'd put Atletico or Juve ahead of PSG, it's possible they move ahead of them under Emery though.

Definitely Atletico at least. PSG buy for more money while Atletico does better in Europe. In no way does that make PSG a member of a so-called "big four", while Atletico with their two finals in three years are not.

For me, PSG is closer to Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid as a 'super club' than Atletico Madrid. I say that fully aware that Atletico has outperformed PSG in recent years. PSG has a really good squad, although it will be interesting to see how they do without Zlatan, but they also have the finances to keep up with the other three clubs going forward. Atletico doesn't have that. They are massively punching above their weight. They are the new Dortmund; they kept pace with the big boys for a while, but as their best players continued to leave they, understandably, faded.

They were in the race for the La Liga title until the penultimate match day, they haven't faded at all. The season before that maybe, but in the end they'll be a powerhouse as long as Simeone stays with them, they're probably in a better position now than when they won the league.

They haven't faded at all in my opinion, but they inevitably will though.
I was also talking about Dortmund there. 🙂
