We certainly need both a striker and a wide forward of considerable ability. There is of course the option of going for two class wide forwards and sticking Alexis up front, with Giroud as his back up.

I don't think we're getting a quality striker this window. The way we're trying to get Xhaka, before the season is over, that's how we ought to be pursuing a striker, but we're not.

I think we're nailed on to go for a striker now that Welbeck is out forever, but whether that striker is top class remains to see.

The fact that Welbeck is injuried now speaks even more against getting a new one. As now clubs know we are desperate and will try to fleece more money out of Wenger, which never sits well with him. We're fucked.

The situation doesn't mean no striker, it means bargain striker. After all, we actually are desperate.

These are all quality goal scorers, something we don't have and need. Morata I included for potential but the other three would walk into our and most other sides. This idea that only Benzema or Lewandowski will do is nonsense.

I'd take him over Mkhi for that wide playmaker slot. Only problem is he would be too expensive. Still i'd rather Wenger blow his budget on him than Morata.
