fans need to differentiate between club policy and tabloid & twitter rumours. nobody at Arsenal ever promised us Mahrez. folks went off on the most tenuous links. happens every damn summer. people get excited about every rumour out there. we have signed 2 senior players this year, but there over 30 separate threads about senior players we are allegedly linked to. clearly fan expectations are completely out of sync with club plans

Mustafi, xhaka, lacazette seems a pretty damn good haul to me.

And as much we all rate Mahrez, the reality is that he isn't the second coming of Christ.

Mustafi would be a great addition.

Lacazette's definitely not the guy I wanted but would be better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Get those two and we'd be slightly stronger than last season, but those two and Mahrez or Draxler would be really sweet.
