"I don't think there'll be an Iron Throne by the end". Hmmm, interesting.

Yeah, I think it's been hinted at since the beginning. Westeros is at a crossroads when the story begins. Feudalistic society has outlived its usefulness for everyone but the highborns.

This is why it won't be Dany who triumphs in the end. She's mad for power and always has been. It's gonna be someone like Jon, who has never wanted or liked the idea of power but had it forced upon him and found to his surprise that he was a natural leader, who will ultimately break the wheel and make sure it stays broken.

Similarly Jaime will be key to the forces of good as he too.was never interested in power, despite everyone around him playing the game.

I agree that the wall coming down was underwhelming. I think the iron throne might be melted if the swords it is made up of are valyrian steel.

I was also so disappointed with the casting for Rhaegar. The most mystical character in the series should not have had his face shown imo.

No kids today, decided to take a day off from studying - smashed the whole season of GoT. Thoroughly enjoyed it too! Watching it like this was way better than the week to week stuff.
Big thanks to all of you for not being cunts and actually keeping the GoT stuff exclusively in this thread. 🙂
