Who is Jan?
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Jan Frostfort or whatever his name is I'm guessing.
Who?
Twitter no mark.

Lots of his assists are from corners and free kicks. And lots of tap in goals into an empty net to buff up those stats. Still a good player and I want him here.

they all count the same
Well he's not going to take many corners and freekicks here.
I concede that there are people here who have watched him him a lot more than I did last season though. If he's really what we need we should bring him in, but we should do it quickly. He's bound to be on a lot of clubs' lists with only a year left on his current deal.

I am guessing, former Norway international and now TV pundit Jan Age Fjortoft.
I think it is Aage but my mate's mum is also called Jan.
Found the ITK!
You never know as she hides her footy knowledge well.
I suspect, we are trying for Mahrez while keeping him waiting. In the end he might end up at UTD due to the Riola connection.
United will struggle to get big names without Cl.
As for Aubameyang to City- I think it's a red herring thrown by City/Dortmund. They can't fit Silva, Aguero, Auba and De Bruyne into one lineup. All of them are elite players so they'll want to start.
Surely they could play Silva in behind Aguero with PEA and De Bruyne wide?
Guardiola doesn't really seem to give a fuck about fitting players in. He'll happily sit anyone in the stands irrespective of price/reputation.
He'd find a way to get all of them on the pitch at once.
Guardiola does like goal scoring wide players. Pedro, Villa, Muller etc. Auba could easily play on the wing and do well.
Yeah, the biggest loser here is Sterling. He'll be picking splinters out of his bum whenever folks are healthy.
Luckily for him, Aguero, Silva, and De Bruyne will spend time off this season, so he'll still get his
Sterling won't be benched.

Probably looks like I'm coming to the defense of United all the time, but Zlatan is rumoured to be close?
This guy is as lively as they come.
Have a watch of this
Bursts of energy, brings others into play and has a thunderous shot with either foot
Definitely want.
The New Rosicky.
If he comes Ramsey is definitely off imo.
Ramsey on the bench!

if he comes, it means 4 out of coquelin, ramsey, wilshere, el neny, and cazorla on the bench. someone would definitely have to go
What y'all don't believe in healthy competition?
I don't mind, I want us to be stacked deep with quality in all positions.
Plus this is the Arsenal we're talking about. Injuries will always have a say. We can't afford the current steep drop off in quality when our key/in form players inevitably get injured or need rotating. Next season is going to be a tough one in my opinion. Possibly the most competitive in PL history with the influx of these coaches into top level teams, and we have to ensure we have the players available to mount a proper challenge on all fronts.
i'd be delighted if they all stuck around and fought for places. i can't see it though

He won't accept that.
How many games did we have Flamini playing for us this season? How many times did we have Walcott looked disinterested on the wings?
There is plenty of gametime for everyone. Those guys need not leave. I would rather start with the lot of them, and if it really isn't working out, then we can start to ship out folks.

Then he can bugger off, tbh. Xhaka-Santi-Coq-Elneny-Wilshere is enough for the two CM spots.
I just think he's very efficient with the ball. Count me in on the micky ryan bandwagon.
fjortoft reckons united are trying to nab him from under our nose
as i said a few pages back, he does fit the mould of the type of attacking mid maureen likes
Lol - would be typical of Wenger to have Mkhitaryan go to United, Vardy stay at Leicester, Janssen to Sp*rs and we keep Giroud and Walcott as our strikers.
What's his workrate and linking with the fullback like? Are people that have watched him regularly confident he'll gel well with Bellerin behind him?
I've barely watched any football from other countries in the last couple of years so I'm very in the dark on a lot of the top players.

true. the new Will.i.an
i really want this guy. he's a departure from the potential and excitement that has been frustrating us for years in Walcott, Gnabry, Oxlade, etc. just an honest labourer who gets shit done. he's very competent. i think back to a Wiltord perhaps since we had a capable, versatile no-frills AM like this.
I think he would choose us over United if we matched their offer.
Well you'd certainly hope so.
I'm starting to warm to this. That compilation highlighted some very intelligent play.
Gurgen wrote:I think he would choose us over United if we matched their offer.
Yep, he's a gooner.
If we match their offer. That's a big if.
