Ricky no offence but do you even read the posts in the thread before you post? πŸ˜† All of your questions were already answered in earlier posts.

The quote in your last post is untrue or at least lacks vital information; while it is confirmed that there is a release clause it won't be in effect until 2017 (clause has been reported to be anything between €25m and €35m). That part was also included in one of the earlier posts by the way πŸ™‚

That's surprising to hear from someone who rates him as highly as you. If he goes he can go fuck himself.

I rate Ramsey; I've just never felt that he'd stick around for the rest of his career. He's been a United fan all his life and our fans treated him horribly when he struggled post injury. They still treat him pretty badly on social media. I think whatever allegiance he feels is towards Wenger for sticking with him and giving him his chance.

His current contract is up around the same time as Wenger's. Meanwhile, United have a dearth of competent midfielders - especially homegrown - and have been interested in him in the past. They're going to be back at the top quicker than us too at this rate, so there'll probably be a sporting incentive too. It just fits.

He did choose us instead of a much more appealing version of United though.

We were arguably more appealing to a young player at the time. He was practically guaranteed to get playing time and develop here.

There are dickheads at every club, pretty sure he's smart enought not to believe United fans are going to be inherently better than Arsenal's. I don't even think he was treated that badly to be honest; it's not like people were booing him for being injured but of course you'll get stick for playing like shit for a pretty long time, a good while after the injury too.

I wouldn't want to sell Ramsey (especially not to United) but I'd be tempted by silly money to be honest. Ramsey's game is depending too much on him being in absolute top form as it is pretty dangerous by nature; I thought so back when we were leading the league in 2013 even. I'd rather a midfielder who's content with dictating the tempo and offering passing options to the team in CM; Ramsey however becomes something of a necessity when we have duds like Ox or the current form of Theo occupying the forward spots.

Also the club flew him out to Wenger in Switzerland while United sent a sewer rat with an iPad.

πŸ˜†

Sorry! I do normally, just haven't dipped into this thread until today really and so was a bit in the dark. I'm warming to this the more I read though.

if we are going to persist with the shitty 4-2-3-1 then i like the look of elneny/xhaka.

Xhaka is also a leader with a bit of steel about him and won't take any bollox from the opposition and let them bully us. Something we desperately need.

we haven't really been bullied in a while, we just play pedestrian football and are outrun quite often

We still get bullied by the likes of Stoke and Chelsea. Look what Costa done to us. Wankers like Arnautović love playing against us too.

Cross know nuts. He was adamant we are going after Wanyama and is trying to backtrack.

Haven't seen much Granit. Does he rock?

True  πŸ˜†

Named some others too just in case.

Never seen him play, don't know if he's any good tbh. The fee seems very high, especially for Wenger.

I like the fact that he's tall (1.85m). If we sign him it looks like it could be the end of Ramsey in CM. Also looks like Wenger is going back to a more physically capable and imposing central midfield, which is good news.

Agreed, but if our CM options are Xhaka, Elneny, Coquelin and Cazorla/youngster and Ozil at 10, that front three needs to be really free-scoring for that to work.

Dean (Afcamden) says talks are "quite advanced but not done and not at the fee mentioned".

That's the way it should be, imo. We shouldn't have to depend on our CMs for goals.

exactly. we won things with vieira/petit and vieira/gilberto.

Also sounds like he's quite headstrong and tough. This team has some serious psychological issues that needs gutting out.
