Lol. It almost got blacked out.

Haven't listened to any of the episodes of the it's up for grabs now podcast/Tuesday club as it's apparently now called. Didn't think it would be as good as the debut season- which I was an avid follower of, and since our season is basically taking the same route as it was last time around, I'm guessing so is the podcast.

Would actually like to hear Alan's true opinions on Wenger as coach. He seems to have a lot of respect for the boss, but I wonder if it's ever crossed his mind that Arsene's lost the plot.

He seemed to be getting a bit fed up a couple of weeks back. Thought he talked a lot of sense actually.

he's on the fence re: wenger. he totally loses it over how many stupid mistakes me make, he thinks we need a new #2 who will tell wenger the way it is and cut out the idiocy in training, he doesn't think our squad is good enough ("good" including mentality, character, physique, pace and game intelligence).

anyone hear the alleged bustup between lehmann and bendtner on the podcast? hilarious, though no way it's true.

I still can't get over the fact that Alan, as much as he knows about the game, has always wanted us to sign Jussi Jaaskerlainen and thinks that would have solved our goalkeeping problem years ago. Madness.

I haven't listened to it for a couple of weeks, Kami, but Alan has always sounded like he's a staunch Wenger supporter to me, even if he is massively fed up with how things have gone recently, like we all are.

Did he? I thought he bought up Jussi Jaaskerlainen because he cocked up against United that weekend.

I'm not actually sure whether he's serious half the time or whether it's mock outrage. He really has it in for Clichy though. 😆

I've heard him go on about Jaaskerlainen loads of times. Same with Tom Watt on the Fans' Forum, he always goes on about Thomas Sorenson being the answer to all our problems.

haha i love that line. i wish/hope it were true, but no one talks like that in real life.

ricky: he's still in favour of wenger staying, just wants a change in staff and obviously, players. you're right about the jussi thing - i'm not sure why anyone rates him, he's very, very average.

Fans' Forum is another good podcast. Only something I can bear to listen to if we've been winning.

Haha it was their tweets that drew it to my attention really. They were really (well, Davies), a summation of how toxic our fanbase was becoming.

Exactly. Alan was really awful to listen to by the end. I really mainly just listen to Arsenal Vision now and Arseblog. The latter for the fun times and AVP for the analysis. They’re super clued up. A lot of the other Arsenal podcasts are just a collection of angry blokes. Might as well be us

Yeah, found Arseblog a reassuring constant amidst the pandemic and the regularly fractious tribal warfare in our fanbase that occurred during that time.

Listen to AV from time to time but prefer the vibe on Arsecast.

I’ll listen to Arsecast, mainly for James McNicholas who I find myself agreeing with a lot of the time. I’ll also listen to Daily Cannon whenever @RocktheCasbah is on there.

Alan's rants had charm about them in the earlier days, but he slipped towards being pretty miserable in the latter days. his willock and arteta rants were hard to listen to

Gazza M yah it did become pretty clear his tactical footballing knowledge was, let's be kind and say "limited".
