Groundhog day for us with this result. Thought we were pretty good, especially in the first half, created good chances but couldn't capitalise. We were let down by the same mistakes, poor naïve defensive mistakes and lack of goalscorers. These fee not new problems they have been are issue for a number of years but Wenger does not seem to have the ability to change. We are not going forwards as a club and I don't think we will under Wenger.

The hardest part to accept is that we should be doing better than this, we really should be. Hard to see why the likes of Ozil and Sanchez would want to stick around if shit doesn't change.

The problem with our side today against Barcelona was certainly not a lack of height and power. Giroud, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Welbeck, Sanchez, Ramsey and Coquelin are most definitely not underpowered against Messi, Alves, Neymar, Rakitic, Busquests. They are of course, overmatched technically, so Wenger is right. Of course, he is the one he buys the players and picks the team so he is the one ultimately responsible.

Also don't know why Flamini is making the bench, let alone playing over El Nenny. The Egyptian looked at least as good as Hull, if not more so and isn't an inexperienced teenager, he's played against top sides in European competitions before.

He played for Basel in the Europe league, does that still rule him out? Totally on point if he is eligible, what is the point is signing him when guarneteed goal concession in Flamini is ahead of him.

Now i understand why Barca, Real Madrid, China, Macclesfield Town, etc were not fighting for his signature and i'd never heard of him till our interest. He is a midfield Gervinho who we will end up selling to obscurity.
