Hart

Sagna-Kompany-Laporte-Kolarov

Silva-Gündogan-Fernandinho-De Bruyne

Iheanacho-Agüero

Decent but suspect fullbacks.

Inheanacho is generally a sub. He was given more time at the end of the season because City were out of the title race.

I doubt that's how the City lineup will look in August. I expect them to make 2-3 more signings.

If Gundogan can keep himself fit then £21m is an absolute bargain. Good signing for City.

Big if, especially at City. Pep is the only City signing that really worries me so far. Every summer they buy apparently well at the time.

Gundogan is the midfield Sturridge. I wouldn't be happy if Wenger bought him.

L'Equipe: Lorient have rejected a €10m (plus €2m in add-ons) offer from Dortmund for left-back Raphael Guerreiro.

We need to be all over that.

Barcelona reportedly in for Pjanic ...

A lot of talk in Madrid now that Zidane wants Pogba to join, but will need to release a CM.

Wenger likes this.

Big news that D.Alves has left. Best right back ever, what a player.

Hyperbole. Great player but he's not going to go down as the greatest on his position. He's not even going to be recognised as the best Brazilian rightback ever (which might or might not be the same thing).

He'll probably move to Juve which means he'll win more trophies and hopefully retire with the most trophies of anyone in European football.

His passing in tight situations was up there with Iniesta, Messi etc.... He and Messi would practically toy with people. He has assisted Messi more than any other player too. For me he surpasses Cafu. He was far better defensively than given credit for.

Thankfully bellers got absolutely roasted by bayern this season. That'll keep barca away for the moment.

I've only seen half of Cafu's career but I'd still agree, Dani Alves is the best full back I've ever seen. His prime was arguably at Barcelona where he was more important to Messi's career than Xavi or Iniesta but his time at Sevilla (especially 06-08) is why I'll remember him as the best in his trade as I've never seen (before or after) a game at the top level being dominated and controlled from the full back position.

Alves, superb player. On the other hand, the trophy he really would win would be biggest shithead ever to play right back. 🙂

I hope Wenger doesn't care. We are stocked in CM.

Unless they release James or Isco who can play the hybrid winger/midfielder role.

Sure if they're available get them, especially James. Not sure Pogba would be replacement for either though.

We're talking about £50-£60m for James.

With so many powerful teams going after a big signing, we won't even compete for his signature. PSG need a new star man, United will be interested as will Chelsea.
