Marcelo is a superb LB and I rate Alaba as ever so slightly better, as well as more versatile, but this means Real are going all out for the best of the best this summer.

Marcelo is probably the best attacking fullback around, contributes massively to Madrid's attacking play. Not the best defensively though, and not just because he bombs forward.

Nevermind, Sevilla has decided to hold him on his contract till 2020 and rebuffed Everton's advances for him.
