At first we were all willing to overlook some of the flaws in Gabriel because he was new to the country, new to the league, didn't know the language bla bla bla. At this point though, it is difficult to look past his erratic defending for me. He seems to panic every time the ball comes near him, his concentration is appalling, his decision making is downright weird at times, and his positioning is poor. He is big enough, moves well, is tough in the challenges, decent in the air, decent pace - he SHOULD be a pretty good defender, but he really, really isn't.
